Onimusha (1) NoCD inquiry
 

Hello everyone. I recently bought Onimusha off an play-asia.com style shop and *BOOM* it asked for the CD. And I didn't wanna keep inserting it, so I d/led the TECHNiC crack from GCW. I tried it and *BOOM* and it didn't work. NFO says it requires an iNVFX fixed exe, not the original one. I searched ALL OVER the net and came up empty. Please, help me. I need iNVFX fixed exe.

But nothing else, as I wish to compare the iNVFX blank exe and TECHNiC's patched iNVFX exe in a hex editor! I want to know the values that the TECHNiC patch changes.

Perhaps, the game could be re-cracked from scratch. Read entry III/4 in the forum FAQ and contact me accordingly.

Well, here's how the situation is now:

OnimuPC.exe 1.0 orig - Securom v4.8 + CD check.
OnimuPC.exe 1.0 iNVFX - CD check only.
OnimuPC.exe 1.02 orig (patch) - CD check only.

I was going to rip over the protection from 1.02 using the iNVFX.exe and the TECHNiC patch and the HexCmp program. I would've applied the differencies to 1.02 exe. One problem. I DON'T have the iNVFX exe.

Here's the 1.02 patch. The exe displays the CD demand (obviously, because with the disc inside, when I click OK, it passes) even when left out of the game dir totally alone. It needs NO files from the game.

There is no european version. You've mistaken it with Onimusha 3.

Securom 4 should be easy to crack but seeing that v1.02 doesnt seem to have SR anymore, I guess that's obsolete.
I dont think anyone willing to crack it actually owns this game (not legally now anyway, I suppose)

Why would the game ask for a CD if you have it?

Let me guess its a burnt Silver, i.e. not legal. Its the only thing I can think off.

If so you will find you wont get help here for it. You will have to take it up with the site you bought from, telling them what is going on.

DABhand, MuJi - I have the legit version, nevertheless, I don't want to insert the CD. If you think that's not true, then what is the purpose of GCW? What is the purpose of discussing cracks but not discussing warez (ytou're obviously accusing me of owning warez, thus discussing it now)? What you say now has no sense.

BTW, I didn't say the game does not run AT ALL. It runs fine, as long as the CD is inside the drive. And I don't want the program to use it, it was damn expensive to import.

Nope. Instant crash. It gives me a send/don't send error.

EDIT: Onimusha: Warlords patch 1.02 (fixed) is now available.

Small off-topic question:
Does this update fix some gfx and performance problems?
I heard sometimes you cannot see your map, the character looks very bad and so on.
Also very low fps on some places, especially while drawing souls.

Yes, it is presumed to fix these bugs you mentioned. I didn't encounter any ('cept little slowdowns) since I installed the update.

You failed to mention any more info.

All you mentioned was you bought from a site similar in style to play-asia and it asked for a CD.

So what sounds like sense now.

I did not say you had a warez version of it, I said IF, if is a big word, If you did you wouldnt get help here for it and you would be best contacting the people you bought from.

Yea, well... indeed there are "burnt silver" shops avalable all over the net. But - just out of curiosity - I googled for them after reading your post. If I had bought a burnt silver, it would be iNVFX release, so I wouldn't even have that problem I mentioned in the first post.

I downloaded this file --> it working :D (After install the game, extract and copy all of file to the installed folder --> nocd crack very good

hi WaltonSimons I saw your post about the Onimusha 1 pc nocd and I'm interested because I have that game. thanks bro but that is the official patch. I'm looking for the dead link of the fixed patch 1.02 with nocd posted years ago by waltonsimons.

the patch 1.02 from official site (typhoongames...) and the mirror from patches-scrolls.de gave me a good 50%+ of trojan detection using virustotal website. I hope this is a case of false positive!

the exe file has no particular protection. simple cd check (see attachment)

hope someone can help.

I deleted that file long, long ago. Hopefully WaltonSimons still has it; in that case, please, upload it to GCW, too!

You're welcome. I recreated the patch and uploaded it to GCW, to save it for eternity. ;) [...] And, yeah, it took me also about a dozen tries to find the correct "skachaty besplatno" (= "free download") link. ;)

All is well that ends well...
 

It's somehow off-topic, but the current month is September (i.e. 19.09).
Above-mentioned files will be deleted 19.10, i.e. October 19 -- after the month of storing... :) So, there were no reasons to hurry... :)
