The new version 1.01 put another new secure on the game.
We just cant launch with the basic .mds image or poseden image.
Someone found a way to solve this problem ?

it updated the protection? if so, to what version? (scan with pid)

am not sure ...but the last patch just block something .. i can't run the game like i done with the version 1.00

same problem here.

how did you run it before ? yasu 1.04?
how did you make the image etc.. all the steps are kind of critical
latest version seems to be 7.29 or newer..

I have the same issue, and i'm not sure how to get the PID
HOWEVER i do know that i am using YASU 1.04 and Daemon 4.06HE and the image was working BEFORE the patch. It's the EMUDVD9 MDF/MDS type of backup. The new patch is retail 1.01 Patch. Let me know if you need anything else as far as info goes.

I was using YASU 1.04(YASU seem to do his job ..he just blind the securom)but i think the problem is in the mds itself or daemon tool. (Daemon 4.08HE_. it's the EMUDVD9 Mds.
Now we got this message ''we need to insert the vegas retail cd''.

We can play with the patch but its bring some bug . U need to copy the old vegas_game.exe in .mds files and replace on the new one.

some kind of text is bugging while playing but is okay while waiting for a new issue...

I try the 1.01 patch, use yasu 1.04 and the maxi-image with DT 4.08(SPTD1.38).
it can pass the securom protection. because my Video display card dont supports SM 3.0, so i dont know later on it.

wierd , i use all of this beside my video card supports Sm 3.0 . So i really dont know why u should get in the game and not me , certainly not because u got a sm 2.0 video card ??.

i asked another guy, his video card supported Sm 3.0. he can play with the maxi-image in 1.01 patch.

Here what i did

1.Mount maxi-image(mds) in Daemon tool 4.08 HE
2.Run YASU
3.Run the game and BLAM ! error ... he tell to put the retail cd in another drive.

It just crashed for me. Doing same thing as above poster.

One of the "Program has caused an error and needs to close" with the send report or not options.

Maybe the reason is my friend have no CD-ROM/DVD-ROM/Writers.

i have a DVD/CD writer and that's definatley not the issue

I'm using Daemon 4.08 now, and i still get the same "Please remove disc from current blah blah go to hell"

yah .. lol same if i unplug all my ide driver inside my computer but am just too lazy .

use DT4.08 + yasu 1.04 and unhook any available CD-ROM/DVD-ROM/Writers or deactivate all optical IDE drive(s) in the Device Manager.
i'm sure do like this can launch game, many people use this method play the 1.01

well , if i deactivate ide driver i got an .exe error my vegas_game.exe wont work anymore , if a reactivate my ide driver my game will tell me to put my retail cd in another driver :P this kind of gay .

Someone unhook the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, without use yasu, also can play 1.01

yeah but he unhook manually in his computer case ...i just don't wanna do that ...i waiting for my copy :P an eventual crack is surely on his way

Mount image in DT
Run YASU
Disable your IDE optical drives in Device Manager
Set the R6Vegas_Game.exe compatibility mode to Windows 2000

unhooking? nah just play with discs. much better than unhooking drives. or wait till a crack is out

Ya is working now ..just disable ide drive in device manager just be sure to all deactivate it ! dont need to put compatibility at windows 2000

Nah, still crashes for me.

Disabled all but the daemon drive, and i get a crash instead of an error.

need a fix!!!

For the crash, set the exe compatibility mode to Windows 2000

tried that

then tried win 98
then tried setting _game.exe and _launcher.exe to different compatability modes,
tried all kinds of stuff :(

Still doesnt work for me, after all possibilities of restarts and software help, it either causes a crash or an error.

ima go ahead and say this. anyone who goes through all this trouble to get it to play has to have a pirated copy.

i know of a good way to get it to play without unhooking disabling.

1. find og disc
2. open an optical drive (there's a little button to the right/down corner of chosen drive)
3. carefully place disc in tray and close
4. let it recognize and auto play choose play and viola!

Yeah, especially those pos maxi images or whatever. They blow up to like 3.5GB. I don't know about the rest of you, but I think it's fucking retarded to have to free up that much space just to use an image... I hope someone releases a fixed EXE soon, before I lose my mind.

What worked for me!
 

Hi! Heres what i did without removing my ide cables.
Mount image with Daemon 4.08 (newest).
Close Daemon.
In Device manager, instead of disabling it( i think R6 still detects it so it crashes) Uninstall your cd/dvd drive. The driver reinstalls after restart so no worries, or if u dont wanna restart to use cd/dvd again, just right click and scan for hardware changes and things should be back to normal.
Run Yasu tool 1.04
I hope this worked for you guys cuz it did for me and ive loving the game =)
