I can't update Fahrenheit to v1.1 ???
 

I just got Fahrenheit.

I install the game and will instal the update "fahrenheit_patch_v1.1_multi-langues_15598.msp".

But when i clik to install, it just open Paint Shop Pro and make a error :confused:

What program to use, to install this damn update ??????????

What's that update, where does it come from; why don't you install the official update, taken from the official game site, instead?

I have now downloadet the update again for the 7 times.
Now from 3D Gamers. "Fahrenheit Patch1_1.msp".

And i still got the same problems :confused:

Okay, I downloaded it from Patches Scrolls myself. This is a patch package for Windows Installer. (Obviously, the extension is .msP for patch packages, rather than .msI for installation packages). Apply it with the command line msiexec /update <filename>.

Hey folks, I also cannot installt the patch 1.1!

Already changed the ending to msi instead of msp but nevertheless it tells me that it cannot open the installation package. Running Win XP on my MacBook pro. Please help.

Simply use "msiexec /update <filename>" to update the game.

yeah tried this as well and then there just pops up a screen from the windows installation manager telling me about some options. I am MAC USER so I am not that fit in windows stuff. Please tell me exactly how this works: First I change to the directory "C:/games/fahrenheit" in command line for example and there I enter this command you told me with "patch1_1" as filename or "game fahrenheit.exe" as filename?

ah now it opens, but it tells me that the programm or whatsover it wants to update is not installed and I shall make sure that it is or it is the correct version and so on.

Please that is my last chace, as I am in Spain at the moment and do not have the dvd here and the other patched with the tetris and the mini-image are not working coz it aks for the ORIGINAL DVD not tells anmore insert the DVD but insert the original one.

do U have cracked exe maybe in use?

Cause an update never installs on a cracked exe :)

nope as far as I can remember it is the orginal one, but maybe someone can mail me the orginal exe, just to make sure: slownick12***********

Thanks a lot folks I am really looking forward to play this game. I am here to learn spansih but sometimes it is so boring and I feel a bit lonely so I want to have a fictional world I can dive into to get a real adventure:-)

Don't request files from original. Just start the game without any dvd in drive. Then you will see if you have installed a crack or not. When you are really looking forward to play this game just insert your original disc.

Yeah I am quite sure that I have the original .exe but this still does not help and what means insert the orginal disc - haven't you read that exactly this is my prob because I am in Spain for 6 month and did not bring it with me coz I thought it would work without.

What this file extension **.msp ??? you need update "fahrenheit_patch_v1.1_multi-langues_15598.exe.

And if your game is warez releaze reloaded than you don't can update a game with an illegal crack on board, read the rules cracked gamez can't be updated you need an original gamelauncher.exe in game folder to apply the update . :D :D

MSP is a Micro$oft patch file, uses Windows Installer (MSI) to apply the update, if you can't apply the update you may need to update to a newer version of Windows Installer!

OK but Windows installer update 3.1 is one from the first "automatique security update" and if you don't have it, your automatique sheduled windows security update is disable, run it as "personnalised installation (windows download updates and let us know before install) and select only what you need, select don't remember, unselected updates (or useless things).

windows ionstaller,

Go to "control pannel" section "add and remove program's", now clic to "add new program" cdrom or diskette, next next and go with explorer on the path to your ***.msp file.

I don't really understand what you mean but you can download Windows Installer 3.1 directly from here.
