the sound work but the screen is black , have you any idea how to fix it ?

i try to change settings CaesarIV.ini and change it to windowed mode
Full Screen Mode 0

the screen still blank and the audio work .. even in the video ..

everytime i try to open a trade route the game crashes:(

The first warez release was by a group called CloneCD therefor we have a warez user here who didnt read the rules.

have to agree there dab... i was trying the 'enough rope to hang himself' method though.. :)

ok it seems that it's not a crack problem but a game problem ! Because it happens even without the crack installed and my disc in the tray!

here is what i found to solve the problem, i'm gonna try it right now :

*open your -:\Program Files\Sierra\Caesar IV\Data folder

*open NewConstants.txt

*search for EmpireLevel/TradeRoutePolys;bool;1
or if you're doing this manually it'll be between
EmpireLevel/WaterTextureName;String;EL Trade Route Red
EmpireLevel/TradeRoutePolys;bool;1
EmpireLevel/TradeRouteWidth;float;6.0

*replace 1 with 0 so it'll look like EmpireLevel/TradeRoutePolys;bool;0

*right click properties on NewConstants.txt icon, uncheck Read-Only, this will allow you to save over the txt document, then close the textpad, asks if you want to save, click save.

I copied the given crack then when i clicked on caesarIV.exe it shows two error messages.

Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

After I clicked ok it shows another error msg.

I tried every method given in this forum with the image file. Yet the game doesnt load. Now its not working for this crack also. What can be the problem. Please HELP...........

Yea, it runs the game, but when I try begin first mission, I have : "game save isn't valid", and..... no chance.....:( Can somebody help ?

Try without a crack/image; if it still crashes, contact the publisher.

Granny2.dll
 

i cannot use the cd crack for ceaser IV , every time i try to use it an error pops up saying i need to have granny2.dll, but i try to re install it and it does it every time,

Ok well i dled it and put it into the folder but this keeps popin up " _grannyFindAllowedLODError@16 could not be locatedin the dynamic link library granny2.dll"

Try without a crack; do you get the same error message? (Read the forum FAQ!)

The readme.txt that comes with the granny2.dll states you should extract the file to your windows\system directory

How very blind.. rapidshare wount allow me to download it.. Do you maybe know of any other place I can?
