this game doesn't have any protection - u can made a image with nero or any other image tool.

You should use Protection ID, to find out its copy protection, and then read the guides on how to create backup CD's/DVD's. For both, see the forum FAQ.

I dont see how to backup cd / dvds, all i see his mini, max image.

I have the game and I don't need a cd to play.

Or do you mean Guild Wars Factions?

I havnt tried to burn it yet, i just wanted to ask the game Gods before i made a mistake and wasted a cd.

I tried to view the backup guide, it took me to a forum where the register button didnt work, i tried to download the pdf file, and that wouldnt work, what do i do now...

nvm, i guess there is another backup guide by someone else.

even if u don't have your game cd, u can download the client from their website to install the game again.. only needs your valid cdkey/account

Yep no protection on either GW or GW:Factions. Just make a straight one on one copy even with nero.

why would the company not put protection on their games?

Its online game, not a single player game, and you can only make an account with a valid cd-key which is only one of.

Hey Im curious, do cd key generators generate valid cd keys from games that have yet to be bought? or how does that work?

Yeah,sure,they generate...I've payed the good guyz 50bucks and they made me hell of an account:p ...U can try the same method,it works..LMAO

to answer your question: every generator who claims to give you valid keys is a fake/trojan/virus whatever.
those online games have the key as the protection. it is validated online within your created account where also all of your gaming profile (chars, items, etc) is saved.

oK, I tried making a copy of the disc using nero and it says its copy right protected..

I used protection id and it says it has none..

Nero is useless for making backups of games; use Alcohol 120% or BlindWrite instead.

Are you referring to the message that the disc is copyrighted?
Nero doesn´t check if thereßs a protection or not - because it is not able to duplicate any commercial protections.

As some other posters said, Guild Wars is not protected with a disc-copy-protection so any cd-copy-software should do the job. The cd-key is still required! I don´t know aboute the Fractions Add-On... But I guess, it will also have no disc-protection...

I Have Both Prophocies & Factions Brilliant Game's..
I Downloaded The Prophocies And Bought A Serial Via PLAYNC.
I Also Bought Factions On That Account Dont Need To Download Faction's.

When You Visit Any Part Of Faction In The Game It Will Download It Requied File's.
The Other Question Is Both Game's Dont Have Any Sort Of PROTECTION.
This Is Because If You Load The Game With Out A Valid Account & Serial You Dont Get Any Further Than The Login Screen.. Any More Questions PM Me..
