hello out there,

first excuse my bad english, i'am looking for a working backup file for brigade e5.
i found one, but the game will crash in the mission screen.

sorry my fault, i meen a no cd file to play my backup copy.

well, its the same no-cd file i got. still doesnt work for me, after the misson screen the game crashes to the desktop. any suggestions ?


my system:
amd athlon 3200xp+
2x 512mb mdt dual channel ram@400mhz
asus a7n8x-e deluxe (nforce 2 chipset)
geforce 6800 gt (winfast a400)

you are not the only one. this fix does not work. is there gonna be a new one?

i wonder that a group like silentgate releases such an unstable file.
whatever, all we can do is wait and keep our eyes open .. :eek: ;)
or maybe someone has the ultimate wonder-clue to get our backup's running...

(it does't change the exe file)

the tutorial work but when i try to start a game i crash to the desktop.

but there will be soon a new one.

bleibt nur abzuwarten bis ein ordentlicher patch mit 'keks' serviert wird.
aber so wie ich es sehe, ist dieses spiel nicht bekannt genug als das es von einer weiteren group oder nochmals von sg unter lupe genommen wird. schade eigentlich ...

btw stanleyman, the fix you posted seems to work. i could not test it further, got to work now. but the game starts now normaly and it doesnt crashes to the desktop.

is it alowed to post a download like for the fix ? if yes, i could upload it to rapidshare or somwhere else..

erm, its already on GCW...., you can now go in the campaign, but still random crashes, the tutorial crashes...

I dont recommend rapidshare as it doesnt always work for everyone. ;)

with the mini patch i postet before you can fix the tutorial. radom crashes are in the game witout the crack too.

but whit the new crack the sektor map is only some colors. have that anyone too?

I tell you something: Germany is the biggest Gamemarket in Europe, and after the USA the bigest Market for Games in the World. Is the same with users.

Ohhh, please: this is an international forum, not a German forum...! (What language do you think people from Afghanistan, Paraguay or Zimbabwe are going to learn, to use the Internet: English or German?)

germans who dont know any english are stupid, i'm german too and english is pretty easy to understand. you have to learn it when the 4 or 5th school year starts till the end of school. your not perfect at it but... also, lernt lieber englisch ist immerhin die weltsprache ;] the easiest way to learn a language is to learn it while playing games or reading stuff in your interest ;>

Thats possibly because out of all the countries Germany's games are most times configured differently, because of gore etc, wheras most other countries can 'in most cases' just use the english version files.

Also a lot of times German games can use different protections as well.

So its not really a case of Germany has the most users, even though they might have, its just that the German games need their own specific files. ;)

Germany vs The World
 

Okay, I can't believe that some of you seeking for a working patch and others complaining "... buhu why can't we write down things in German?!". People get some hobbies or a girlfriend. I mean I'm German too, and I opened dict.leo.org to check some words, but please accept that English (and whatever American or British) is the first and onlyone language on this world. But only this to the Germany vs The World discussion... And what the ... is the problem with English?

Have anybody information if there is a new patch? I would really like see the map :)

Strange, the English release is not copy protected it just asks for a serial when you first run the game.

Does the German version ask for a serial too, or does Starforce take care of that by using it's own key for authentication? Just wondering if anyone has tried the English EXE on the German game! Also, does anyone know if the German version has any files using the Starforce File System, if so then it won't be possible to use the English EXE!

Nope sorry. I forgot what happens when starting the game first time. But I think the German version asks for a original CD. (?) I really don't know ...

That will be Starforce needing the CD for the authentication check, if you replaced the German EXE with the English EXE then the Starforce CD check would not be activated.

However, as I said it depends on what level of Starforce protection has been applied to game: just the EXE or EXE + data files? If only the EXE is protected then the English EXE + a legit serial 'may' work!

It needs someone with access to both the German and English games to test though, or just buy the English game if you can speak English!
