Hi, THere's a game called International Cricket Captain 2006, basically it's a cricket game where you can play online. I had a working crack until today, but now when you connect to internet game, you are required to download and install some updates to patch the game to get rid of some bugs( which changes game ver to 6.09 from 6.07 I think). But because of the crack, patching fails. I know this because I remove the crack and the patch works with original cricket.exe, but then as I replace the original cricket.exe with the crack, it comes up with the same update probably because the crack is only supposed to work with the old ver weird. I hope someone can help from here.

In general, you can't play online with a no-CD patch. Use a mini or full image instead. See the forum FAQ for what these are.

Thanks for the reply. I can't find any mini or full image for this game, don't think there exists one. As for not being able to play online with no cd crack, I did it yesterday and was doing it before. This patching problem came up today so I'm unable to play the game anymore online. As I said before, I install the patch successfully when I remove the crack, but when I put it in there, it starts downloading the same update that I've already installed probably because the game recognizes the patch as compatible with the old ver( thus the new update). I really hope someone releases some new crack or if someone can help find me some mini or full image. Thanks a lot

In the FAQs you can find how to make your own mini image.

In the meantime, what is stopping you just using the protected exe that is updated with your original?

I have used no cd patches on games to play on line and have worked. BUt not in all cases

Could someone please help ? I think a new cracked cricket.exe is needed for this to work.

Alternatively, could someone tell how to overcome the 2 day restriction on the trial ? :p

You won't get support here with making the trial/demo version work for a longer time!

I would have to insert my cd in the cd-rom drive everytime I want to play which I don't want to do. Obviously I will be doing it unitl a new crack is released( I hope it will) which will work with this patch.


To Lucky K, is the the patch failing for you as well when you're using the crack?

The crack for this game was released by Deviance I think. Is there anyway say if you contact them, they can release a new one?

Yes Ehsan, the patch downloads but fails to apply.

The NFO in the crack gave this address: [email protected] . I mailed that address, but received a "mail undeliverable" message.

I'm sure they are lurking around somewhere
 

Deviance will change the address frequently, and they are often spoofed anyhow. The best way to get in touch is to post your request here, I'm sure a few members are floating around. ;) Deviance also takes request via usenet..

Just be sure to follow the forums rules and wait the acceptable amount of time before requesting. And don't get your hopes up when there is a working mini-image.. people are still requesting Halo 1.07 fixed.. when there are plenty of existing solutions!

This is true... but you can at least intrigue them into the challenge, essentially for those difficult protections. :D
