Dead to Rights II - Gamecopyworld Gamefix
 

I've downloaded Dead to Rights 2 v1.0 [ENGLISH] Fixed Files from Gamecopyworld, but now the default language for playing the game it's Russian, is there anyway of changing that.
The gamefix says [ENGLISH], but after patching the game it turns to Russian.

My mistake...

There is no other way then to reinstall the game... or install it on a different PC and copy over the files that were overwritten

Maybe someone else has a proper solution for this problem

But the gamefix, it includes two files (GAME.PAK and DTR2) and they overwright other two with the same name, only that way it's possible to play the game without being connected to internet.
I've search all over the internet for another gamefix, but I can't find anything.

i 2 am searchiong a patch for this game,

couldnt find any, but at gamecopyworld,,,

the index shows that it has dead to rights 2 v1.0 eng fil files,,,

but lower on the page, it says dead to rights 1.0 russian fix files...

so there isnt any eng fix till now,,,or is there???

For the moment i haven't found any fixgame in english.
Maybe the mother Russia, is trying to be superior to the english born nations:eek:

It's just like Tiger Woods 2006 or Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, that 5 months after the release of the game a master mind have broken the copy protection.

So... Where can i get this fix?

i checked the russian crack,,,,

and the language thing is in the main dtr2.exe only,,,

cause i checked the game.pak, and it has only wav files in it,,,, nothing else..

no language files,,or anything else.... so some 1 has 2 patch the exe only...

rest i m working on it....

MY KEYBOARD DOESN'T WORK! WHAT'S WRONG?
And when i start the game i everytime get back to windows and have to klick on DTR.exe on my taskbar to get back to the game.
I can't use my escape button to skip the intros

my further check notifies that, the crack posted as russian

is the reloaded release further hecked,,, cause the main dtr2.exe

has reloaded written everywhere, so it confirms that its the same exe

as the english 1, just complete crack, and i think the game.pak

consists of the russian files, so if some1 tries 2 use only the dtr2.exe

file and not the game.pak file then i think the game should work as english

more review comin in some days.

Crack working only when you replace both files: dtr.exe and Game.pak (game resources). Replacing only dtr.exe will crash the game to desktop after a couple seconds. Also, combinations of cracked and original files from both versions of the game does not help (tested by me).

The structure and size of english and russian Game.pak are too different: it seems, english one either encrypted or somehower archived (size ~190MB), russian Game.pack is not encrypted (you can see it's structure in listing) and have a size ~250 MB.

File DTR.exe for eng version have a ActiveMarks protection and request for internet connection, russian DTR.exe have a StarForce protection and does not request for internet connection.

So, the only crack for DRT2 at present situation - for russian version...

I think 2 or 3 yrs have been passed and no one come up with the solution.

It seems, the solution is relatively simple: crack for russian version contains fixed file "DTR2.exe" and decrypted/unpacked resources file "Game.pak" (russian menu, messages, etc.)

All you need is a small tool named "ActiveMARK Decrypter 1.1" for decryption/unpacking ENGLISH resources file "Game.pak" and about 5-15 minutes for understanding how it works. I've played the game ~untill 3-5 saves. All in english. No crashes...

P.S. I've uploaded my decrypted resources file "Game.pak" for ENGLISH (not russian) version to GameCopyWorld some time ago, but it seems they decided it is a duplicate of russian version crack. However that may be, it's their "headache"...

It would really be nice to get hands on your fixed resource file, UNICORN.

Playing arround with this ActiveMARK Decrypter and trying to find out what to do :confused:, but somehow it seems that i'm to dumb for this tool :D:rolleyes:

Greetings to all. It's better to explain on example.

1. Let the game was installed in this directory: "G:\Dead To Rights 2\". The size of an original file "Game.pak" - 186.748.929 bytes.

2. Decrypted/unpacked (by means of above-mentioned tool) resources file has 250.358.476 bytes. It has the name "raw" and located in this directory (if you did not change the tool's settings):
"g:\Dead To Rights 2\Decrypted\content\"

3. Rename "raw" into "Game.pak". Replace original file in "G:\Dead To Rights 2\" by this new file.

4. Download No-DVD by "OVERLOADED" group for russian version of the game from one of the GameCopyWorld's pages. You need -=ONLY=- fixed "DTR2.exe" from it. Replace original "DTR2.exe" (in "G:\Dead To Rights 2\") by this fixed one.

5. Happy playing! [Sorry for my bad english :) ]

I was waiting for this fix literally for years :P

Now, if only someone could crack Peter Jackson's King Kong Gamer Edition, which uses DX10 as opposed to DX9 of the non-gamer release. This edition can be download for free but the copy protection is still intact.

I may be that dumb, but what's the "key" required by the decrypter?

First, I would read carefully the instructions of the tool to try to understand how it works.
The decryption key should appear automatically when you choose to analyze any ActiveMARK protected executable. It is the key needed to decrypt the encrypted items of the file. Without a valid key, you cannot get the useful content of any of them.

But unfortunately latest 6.6 version cannot be decrypted yet...

When you don't get a decryption key with a previous version to AM6.6, then your target must be either an only buy or trial limited target. You will need in this case a valid license to decrypt files, since no brute force option has been implemented in this tool yet...
