Ghost Recon Adv.Warf. 1.06 working
- I made a mdf/mds image with Nero
- Use Daemon Tools 4.03 to mount Graw.mdf and install - Update Game to 1.06 - Mount the Graw.mds from GCW in DT 4.03 - Use Securom_Loader 1.2 to start game greetz |
Generally I Have Noticed.
When You Use A MAXI/MINI Image The Game Also Works When Update Patches Are Applied Too. |
Nothing happens when I start GRAW.exe with v1.06.
Absolutely nothing. Had to revert back to v1.00. |
wrong patch, Talus.
There are 2 patches available, one for the retail version and one for the digital download version. The patch for the latter version is called something like 'patch_drm'. |
Damn..you're right. While trying to find out which mirror would actually let me DOWNLOAD it, I didn't see that there were 2 versions ;)
NOW..the question is, Is there a way to get rid of the HighPriority mode of the new v1.06 exe while running the anti-securom loader? I have to ctl-alt-delete while the game is loading up and quickly try to change the process' priority to Normal...otherwise I cannot use my mouse or keyboard once I'm in-game. |

cheers in advance.. |
that's because v1.06 runs GRAW.exe in HIGH PRIORITY mode and it screws up ALL SORTS of things.
What on EARTH they changed the priority is beyond me.. Hence, I'm looking for a way to run the AntiSecurom 1.2 loader such that GRAW.exe is in NORMAL priority mode. The only way around it at the moment is to bring up task manager, and change the process priority to NORMAL every time you play GRAW. |
hey guys...
i have the reloaded version of graw...but i installed the patch 1.06 and there isno cd crack avaibable yet for this version!
so i try this methot...all ok...i run asr.exe and i see the balck disk rolling in the mouse pointer...but a error appear (detected conflict with emulation soft) and reports to this page of secuROM that says this: SecuROM™ has determined that emulation tools like 'Alcohol l20%' or 'Daemon Tools' are running. Please be informed that SecuROM™ protected applications will not work with such tools. * Please unmount your image, close these emulators, and insert the original disc in order to start the application. i have deamon tools 4.03HE and secuROm emulation enable (green) with the mdf of GCW mounted...and retail patch installed... Why this thing is not workking???can anyone help me please? Cya:( |

Sweet...now let's get back to figuring out how to run GRAW v1.06 in normal priority mode using the anti-securom loader :D
|
Is it really that hard to press ctrl+alt+escape and change the priority to normal? I think not.
|
There are several NoCD exe's by Reloaded for GRAW, one for 1.0, and there's also one for 1.02 floating around.
I'm completely unable to start the game on my system with CD 1 in the drive, but the the Reloaded 1.02 NoCD works fine and I was able to get the pre-patched game going in both SP and MP on servers without issue. Now the 1.06 patch is completely unplayable, my GRAW CD just sits in the drive and spins and nothing happens, I put the Reloaded 1.02 NoCD exe on in the 1.06 patched game and it starts fine -- but it versions the game as 1.02 making it unplayable on servers -- go figure. I've tried the mini CD's even tried making my own mini image from my original GRAW CD with MIR and of couse using SecuROM Loader (and a few other SecuROM tools) to no avail -- can't start the game... My only hope appears to be if Reloaded or someone else makes a new NoCD for 1.06 (and any future patches) or if Ubisoft and GRIN wise up and do what Epic did with UT and after the games sales have peaked release a patch that integrates NoCD.... In the mean time I've returned the game -- and will wait till this crap is ironed out... Quite a bummer as I was really excited about this game... Anyone know if any other NoCD's for GRAW are in the works or planned by anyone? :( |
The only crack I have seen for GRAW is for the original release. Where you got that 1.02 from I have no idea as I haven't seen any patches before this one...
About getting cracks, well I don't think we'll see any from Reloaded but perhaps some other cracker will fix the 1.06 .exe file... :) |

So, ultimately, I'd like to be able to play a game with a single double click as if my DVD is still in the drive. For most games, I've been able to achieve that through the use of DaemonScript. But this high priority issue sure puts in a monkey wrench... ...oh, and it's ctrl-alt-delete by the way ;) If I can make any progress on my own (and I have..just nothing significant), but I'll post here. |

lets us know how u get on fellas.. i went back to 1.2 using the 21 mb fixed exe.. |

You can create a Batch as your shortcut and call the program.. Like this ----------------------------------------------------------------------- START ["title"] [/Dpath] [/I] [/MIN] [/MAX] [/SEPARATE | /SHARED] [/LOW | /NORMAL | /HIGH | /REALTIME | /ABOVENORMAL | /BELOWNORMAL] [/WAIT] [/B] [command/program] [parameters] ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Or I believe These flags will work in the existing Shortcut for the game.. If you know VB Script use that.. -Dieselbrad |
Yes, but you have to load graw.exe v1.06 with the anti-securom loader (asr.exe)...so how do you create a batch file that does THAT ;)
|
the batch file would contain this line :
START /NORMAL "c:\asr\asr.exe" "c:\graw\graw.exe" Replace "C:\asr" and "c:\graw" with the paths to both executables and it should work. To make a batch file, just paste the line above in a new textfile then rename the extension of that file to .bat |
Nope..that didn't work :(
I get the 'conflict with emulation software detected' error and I also noticed that graw.exe was still running in high priority mode. When I try to add the -r command to that batch file, it stops working saying 'windows cannot find -r'. |
ah coolio.. and the .bat file wud go where in the game dir ??
|
You can put the .bat file anywhere and run it.
but it didn't work for me. The following used as a shortcut DOES work, but the priority mode switch doesn't take effect. "D:\Games\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter\asr.exe" -r "D:\Games\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter\graw.exe" /NORMAL |
Of course, it doesn't change the priority mode because only the START command has this "/normal" etc. command line options; ASR.EXE doesn't. You cannot override ASR.EXE's behavior with settings that are processed before ASR.EXE is executed, unless ASR.EXE processes/honors them itself!
|
Ah well..I guess I'll just keep doing it the way I've been doing it.
Start the game normally...wait for about 2 minutes for the keyboard to become responsive and ctrl-alt-del. Right-click about a million times on graw.exe until the mouse becomes responsive. Then left-click on Normal about a million times until the mouse becomes responsive. Then left-click on Yes about a million times until the mouse becomes responsive. See what I have to go through ;) I may just put the freakin' original in :D |
Unless this Patch actually solves a problem you are having, why are you updating?
As for all this daemon tools stuff, and mini mds files. I used the fixed exe from gamecopyworld. game starts fine, no fancy tools to avoid securom etc. I just replaced the original exe with the fixed exe I do have the original but I just hate having to keep the DVD in. it really p*sses me off. |
^^ we know lol.. we have uptaded because the patch is supposed to fix things.. so obv were trying to get a fix so we can play 1.06.. no other prog we can use except anti-securom loader (asr.exe) ??
and yeah i hate puttin in the dvd all the time.. :P |

dude.. best way ive found so far.. once u ctrl-alt-del.. dont press another button.. just wait till task manager appears after a few mins.. click processes and wait.. dont repeatedly press it or you will give the cpu more work... which obv will take even longer to deal with.. then after 20/30 secs.. i then sort by memory usage needs to be clicked 2 (instead of scrolling to graw.exe).. u click it once it lists mem starting from zero.. click again then GRAW.exe will be top.. u know what im talking about.. just dont keep pressing buttons.. each option press once and wait.. voila 2/3 mins at my desktop i had the priority at normal.. total sweet ingame now.. just ignore me if u already do the above lol.. oh aint tried with comms yet.. will try that tonight to see if i get kicked again lol |
You could try Process Tamer. It's a free program that should automatically lower the priority of any process that slows down the system. I haven't tried it, but it seems perfect for your problem.
|
If this works, I'm gonna reach over there and kiss you ;)
I have been GOOGLING my ASS off looking for just such an app... |

|
Well, it didn't work :(
I LOOKS like it's supposed to do EXACTLY what I need it to do...but when I set up a rule to have graw.exe run in Normal priority mode, it just doesn't seem to work. Crud. |
Huzzah! A similar app named Process Master works!!!
http://www.octopod.org/mambo/index.p...=77&Itemid=136 Thanks for the inspiration ;) |
still need to ctrl-alt-del when in game ?? then set process priority.. so not much diff from task manager.. unless im missing something..
|
Nope...just have this app running and it automagically changes the process priority for the exe files you specify.
So now, I just run this app before I launch GRAW and VOILA! GRAW is running in normal priority from the get go. No need to control-alt-delete, or use task manager at all. |
Works for me :) Thanks
|
Hi guys, good news... Gamecopyworld have a fixed exe for the patch 1.06 :D works too ;)
|
Meh..I prefer mini-images becaues they are future-proof...but having a v1.06 fixed exe does make me feel like my work was in vain .. if only I had been more patient!
/sniffle thanks for the update though! :D |
yeah thx for the update..
|
does that crack prevent it running in high priority?
|
Hi,
yes, it runs in normal priority mode. |
