Fix on this site before game released ? !
 

I was just wondering how a fix is available before a game is released?

I noticed the ghost recon advanced warfighter fix is now on the GCW site although it doesnt appear to be downloadable at present and yet according to play.com the game isnt released until the 5th may !!

Is this a US release that has been used to make the fix or made from a warez copy which I thought this site didnt condone the use of ?

The crack itself can very well be available at the same time, or often before a game is released. Obviously someone in here have connections, that doesn't make them a pirate. Whoever can upload a crack, if it works - "there was much re-joice."

Maybe the cd´s are stolen from the game company-beta version, game magazine etc... So u don´t have to wonder where the crack is from, that´s normal.:)

Better illegaly obtained, than not abtained at all ;)
There might be probs, e.g. the exe is beta and wont work w/ the final game, but actually I've never had such problem :)

Could be many reasons? Someone has obviously sent it to gamecopyworld in readiness for when you (and others) purchase the game.
Maybe a disgruntled employee sent it in because he didnt get a pay rise! :p

well the reason i asked is because not too long ago an italian member asked for a fix for outrun 2006 and got banned because the game hadnt been released !

Im not picking a fight but dont you think there's some double standards going on here ? !!

We offer sexual favours to game publishers and they return the favour by providing cracks. The better the 'favour' the earlier we get the crack. The things we go through to get cracks for you, the gaming public ;)

Well the difference is (I think atleast) that if the fix is already avaible on GCW before release date, well then it is. If someone however is requesting a fix for a game thats not released yet in order to play the game without a CD/DVD then it mostly means that the requester has downloaded a clone or other illegal copy from the net. Thus making it a rulebreak.

Ahh thats an easy one to answer!
motta11 asked for a NoCD for a game which wasnt yet released therefore he got banned!
No-one has asked for a NoCD crack for ghost recon advanced warfighter!
No-one that I am aware of anyway?
Even though we have had one person saying their serial doesnt work correctly but he may very well have got an advanced order of the game? Who knows?

You answered as I was replying (typing) but yes you have got it right. ;)

That's still double talk. Someone could want a NoCD for a game that hasn't been released because he got an advanced order of the game. Or perhaps he is planning on waiting in line to buy the game the moment the store opens and wants to have the crack ready for when he gets home.

You should consider that you cannot be 100%ly sure about this unless the user tells you. Since the start of FF, the majority of the people asking for cracks days (!) before the release are warez users. So the mods are more secure with closing the thread, banning or whatever...

Then that person should have the brains to say he is just asking in readiness for when he purchases the game!
The thread would still be closed as the rules state to wait a reasonable amount of time (2 weeks) before requesting cracks!
And it is pointless coming here to request cracks anyway as we do not make them at fileforums, they are sent in by members who manage to find them on the net. The best way to find cracks is to visit the more popular cracks sites regularly. ;)

@dazzashazza: For your information, motta11 broke forum rules #5 and #6 in his very first post. He was warned. In his second post, he asked the same question, breaking forum rule #6 again. He was warned for a second time. In his third post, he did the same thing as in his second post. Consequently, I got fed up and banned him. (This has been documented with backward links in my replies!)

Retailers pay heavy fines if they are caught selling an item before it's release date..

The games are not beamed onto shevles you know.. they are shipped and stored by retailers until the release date... making them widely available to those with access to the stock...

Now all you need is the knowledge to crack the game..& bam.. it's cracked, and won't be released May 5th to the suckers who don't work at Wal-mart...

we've got ghost recon 3 yesterday (i work in an video library). it's the us version of the game. so what's wrong? :confused:

i.e. silent hill 3 or doom 3 - we've got thoose games round about 1 week before official release date by our salesman/ importeur.

Some interesting comments and more replies than i expected on the topic so thanks again to all who replied .
