GG RELOADED ;)

Muji-FightR 11-02-2006 12:39

???

Seems like Reloaded found a good way to crack SF 3 ?
There is another game called Curious George protected w/ SF 3.7 (!!) which was cracked by Reloaded lately :)
Have a look here:
http://www.nforce.nl/index.php?switc...wnfo&id=102518
I hope they have some kinda general UnSF tool or at least a good way to reverse it and I prey to god it's not just a bit of luck :(

FarCry 11-02-2006 13:06

yes......but then why SC3 crack has not arrived yet?

kosmiq 11-02-2006 13:16

From what I have heard Starforce 3.7 has some flaws and will not be used in so many games before the next version of starforce arrives Therefore the kinda fast crack by reloaded.

As for Bet on Soldier I think it is great that they have managed to crack a pretty heavily protected starforce game. The future is indeed looking bright. If reloaded keeps cracking starforce perhaps many publishers will stop using it and go back to safedisc/securom that won't hog down the PC.

Not to sound negative but...

How is 1.3g a good crack? :P

I bet, we will not see the crack on GCW !!!

kosmiq 11-02-2006 17:15

A 1.3gb crack is better than a no existing crack IMO.
Even if it is 1.3gb it does what it is supposed to and proves further progression in the fight against SF.... or something like that... :p

My guess is that a smaller crack is simply not possible as all the files in the crack are decrypted and has SF removed so no other way is possible I think.

caki 11-02-2006 19:15

A smaller crack is possible, its prolly just a pain in the ass to do. (Patching the CD Check)

leezer3 12-02-2006 02:17

Wildwing has the two the wrong way round ;)
Reloaded have included the update 1.3gb update in thier release. (And the game is still far too buggy!)
The crack being 40mbs is actually not that much. If someone could download it & stick it on Rapidshare/ GCW that would be great.

DABhand 12-02-2006 03:48

oh oh

mojo8850 12-02-2006 13:34

Hi.

The Actual Crack In Total Is 2.3GB..
All You Have To Do Is Install The Game And Copy Over The Files To Your Installed Game Directory..

But The The 1.2 Patch Is About 51MB. Must Be Installed First Then Copy Over The Crack Files.

Oh Another Thing I Think They Know How To Crack STARFORCE 3.5 Its The Newer Protection Of Starforce Thats A Pain In The Butt.. :):):)

WardoggOne 12-02-2006 13:57

where is the whole 2gb crack? only the 1.5mb one is on gcw

leezer3 12-02-2006 14:09

Ouch! You are right. Reloaded appear to have decrypted the whole of the game data & included it on a 2nd DVD. I suspect that there is no way that the crack on GCW will work; The bat file deletes all the main data files as well :(
This I suspect means that there is no way this crack can be properly posted, as any distributed (Torrent) means of sharing would be distributing most of the game :(
What we need is someone to grab a copy of the 1.3gbs stuff & do some serious reverse engineering; It must be possible to get from one to the other with some serious processor power!

The Other Way What I Have Done Is Created An SFX File In WINRAR.
Compacted It Down To 1.55GB.

All You Have To Do Is DOUBLE Click On The *.EXE File And Select The Installed Directory..

leezer3 12-02-2006 16:17

Hiya,
You might want to try turning on the solid option in WinRar, & this should get the filesize down a little, but I suspect not enought. UHARC should also get it down some more.

-Leezer-

kosmiq 12-02-2006 16:20

bah all you need to do is invent your own package tool that will package anything to the size of aprox 5mb no matter the original size. By doing that you will achieve the following:
making cracks easier to put up in GCW
get famous
get money money money
respect!

:p

guess this one won't hit GCW.

EMPiRE 13-02-2006 03:02

The full "crack" will not be posted for obvious reasons... It just costs too much to host these kinds of files, even for a short period! We just do not have unlimited server resources (=bandwidth) to handle these kinds of files

a partial archive (excluding the mod dir which is over 2GB) has been added but I do not expect it to work

You could also have a look at 7zip, it produces rather small files, even the SFX archives won't take up as much space as RAR archives would ;)
It's worth i try, i guess :)

mojo8850 13-02-2006 14:01

Hmm..

Okay I'm Going To Try To See If I Can Shrink To It As Small As Possible.
Will Post Results.

If Small Enough Will Post It GCW. :-)

kosmiq 13-02-2006 14:10

Honestly I don't think it will be possible to shrink it enough without more editing of the files themselves.

mojo8850 13-02-2006 14:17

Ok..

Guys This Is Wat I Have Done Tried To Zip It File Too Big..
Tried The IEXPRESS In Windows Only Does Files..

I Have Used WINRAR Dropped It Down To 1.55GB Created A Backup Of The Game. Uncompressed The GAME Came To 5.6GB I Think.

Now It Only 4.29GB.. :)

leezer3 14-02-2006 03:00

While that was a very intelligent post :D I suspect that as the files appear to have been heavily decrypted then there will be no real hex similarities between them. Someone will have to try it though.......

Make a short mbt's US Crackpatch

Hi! "mojo8850", i doesn't have the crack files otherwise i try it myself.
Use RTPatch pro software to do it,

Make a full install from original game and copy, save the full original install folder under "oldsystem" in a temp folder on C or D drive, now update the original game to 1.1 US, copy all crack folder and files (1.5 go) over original files, test if the crack work proper (play some time) close the game and launch "RTPatch" "build wizard" indicate them the "oldsystem" directory, the "updated directory", apply inclued dll, make partial patch, make some personnal settings about text, icons, search option of install directory, "make a .exe", etc...and launch "Make a patch" their will now make with compare files mode, a "patch file" their only contain hex differences, it give at last a short patch file, now this need some time and you can go drink some coffee's and slip one night by some computers. After have make the "patch file", clic make.exe, 30 secondes are now needet and you have a final exe patch file theire probably use maximum 30 mbt's to convert original US files to cracked US files.

Hope someone anderstand my poor english and make a test patch. thanks to all's. good luck from france.;)

Joe Forster/STA 14-02-2006 04:00

And, if you want a FREE, multi-platform patching system, use xdelta. I found it when I disassembled official updates for the game called The Thing. ;)

beppos 14-02-2006 07:59

Hi folks,it does not work with the small file from GCW !

dede 15-02-2006 11:38

Good & bad news...........

:D Hi! first a good news, if you don't have a US game, you can update your UK game with UK 1.2 update & apply the 1.5 gig's US crack, i tested and that work.

Bad news, it's not possible to make the folders & files crack assortment shorter as 1.6 gig's all files are added files & not converted files.

But, you all have this files already on your cd's or dvd's they are probably archived in the ***.dat & in the false ****.iso files, with an compression mode, the problem is how to extract it from theire to copy it in game folder.

If someone found how to extract their, only a extraction tool are needet & not 1.5 gig's of stuff.

HellasVagabond 16-02-2006 03:49

Bottom line the Starfoce guys outsmarted the entire gaming-cracking community

Joe Forster/STA 16-02-2006 03:54

Perhaps, in the short run, that is...

HellasVagabond 16-02-2006 04:34

I wouldnt say short run since the same protection has been out there many months now.
What i dont understand is how did the SF team manage to make a protection that no cracking group can brake. Did they come from the future or something ?

Joe Forster/STA 16-02-2006 04:42

I agree, I haven't defined the word "short" correctly. ;) But it might be possible that some jury rules out Starforce, as a too invasive copy protection, and orders all publishers to release official updates for all their Starforce'd games, to remove the copy protection. Who knows?

(Damn, I woke up...!)

BarryB 17-02-2006 11:23

Does the Reloaded crack only work under XP? I've heard reports of it not being able to load KTGame.Dll and crashing under Win98, could someone with Win98 try the game if possible with the reloaded crack DVD and 1.2 patch and confirm this.

*EDIT* DOH! Just looked at the Spec, WinXP/2000! Teach me to post without checking :)

If that really happens, I'm the luckiest guy on earth...
All the Ubisoft games like SC 3, POP 3 and GTR & GT Legends without StarForce at all :)
It's too good to be(come) true :(

Sam Leach 15-03-2006 07:44

You have got to hand it to the guys at starforce though...lol a 2+GB crack...
I have just finished downloading it...

I am sure someone will release a small 'normal' crack for it soon enough:confused:

dazzashazza 15-03-2006 14:09

bet on soldier

The game is a load of pants in my opinion, im surprised its had such a lengthy thread ! There are far better first person shooters out there.

The starforce discussion is interesting though, hopefully we'll see some more games cracked by the likes of RELOADED soon !

Totally agree with Joe on a jury ruling that these games should be updated with a patch that rids the install of starforce code.

Watch this space all.

acal3000 16-03-2006 00:45

Yeah starforce is really a´problem you cannot do nothing against this protection

omni555 19-03-2006 03:38

StarForce games losing money?!!!

Well, I have noted something rather interesting... StarForce protected games seem to drop in price more and faster than games with other types of protection! Just bought a NEW BOXED copy of BoS yesterday for less than $10!!! And I have been noticing MANY OTHER StarForce games are in the bargain bin now, while many OTHER games that have been out a LOT longer are still enjoying sales on the "regular" shelves!

Guess THAT will teach those game publishers who are using SF to get rid of it or start losing money!

Actually, when I bought the copy of BoS yesterday I didn't realize that it was SF persecuted... err, I mean protected!... or else I would probably have left it on the shelf, even at the reduced price. ...In fact, I will probably box it up and return it tomorrow if I can't find a decent no-cd crack for it! Just HATE the idea having to have SF on my system!

Muji-FightR 19-03-2006 09:32

Maybe they just noticed the number of sold copies decreasing faster than expected. Seems like many people eventually start avoiding SF protected games :)
