Wow, I'm suprised you didnt get the standard, "use the search buttton" response when I asked a similar question, when in fact, I had already searched and was just asking a general question of how long people thought it might take to come out. I know it has newer copy protection that needs to be broken. While I am new to this forum, I am in no way a noob that does not search before asking a question. However, feel free to flame!!:)

Why keep making new posts about topics that have been discussed in other posts? If people would just post in topics already made for whatever game then it keeps the level of useless posts down.

It's not difficult to search and find a topic to post in, unless it's a new game and there are no posts about it.

There is a topic dedicated to the FEAR 1.02 patch, so there really is no need to make new posts about it!

It actually has got Securom 7 as copy protection. Ain't a new one...
And i guess no copy protection needs to be broken, it depends on the guys that do the cracks, if they think they not gonna release a crap game, they probably wont make a nocd crack...
btw this game has been cracked, but creating a new one for every patched version is just useless work... its not worth the time you spent on doing it ;)

I agree, no copy protection needs to be broken. In this case, just don't apply the 1.02 patch. Stick with version 1.01 and use the patch for that one.

Actually, I didn't say someone already flamed me. If YOU searched, you would see that I created a thread asking when people when they thought it would come out. Some people on this forum actually know some of the guys/gals that make the patches and are "in the know" I was saying that people were gonna flame after. Please excuse my ignorance, as that is what I read on another post regarding the copy protection:

there "is" a way to bypass the emualtor check but im not at liberty to say how or send you the program to do it and plus i dont like to support all you warez kiddies, if you can show legal receipt / pop / picture of box with something uniquely identifying also in the picture (not a public image) to me (PM me) i will explain to you how to play with a backup and 1.02.

also censor / black out personal identifying info (like name and serial numbers) on the box / receipt if you do send to me.

if you cant meet this request then dont bother me.

@hyakki: I understand your concerns but, on this forum, people share information related to circumventing copy protections without requesting actual proofs of purchase from others.

I understand that but i would like to keep this method un-blacklisted (one of the few methods that still work with this protection) so i will only send it to trusted people.
It was compiled on my pc so I dont want it to go public.

A simple picture of the fear box next to their monitor (with fileforums open )will be fine, and they must agree not to send the program to others, since it was compiled on my pc i dont want to be held responsible for anything.

yawn, chances are your 'method' is one described in some thread already, its probably public already, and its pointless trying to hide your method, cos someone could send you proof of purchase as you 'request' and then leak the information, and i doubt your method is super revolutionary either, quit the bull**** and share, otherwise dont post crap saying you have a method and ask for really stupid (and easily faked) 'proof of purchase'

And if i do send to someone and they release it i better hope fileforums doesnt support it since that would be copyright infringment i didn't give permission and it would be the last time i ever help out this community.

Your screenshots dont prove anything?
The 'before' shots could be that you just had emulation programs running!
The 'after' shots just show that you disabled the emulation and then used the original disc to start the game! :rolleyes:

hyakki, please dont come over all holier than now, legal users.. bleh, the fact that you are circumventing a protection is against the law anyways so the case of the pot calling the kettle black sort of applies here, and as grumpy said your pictures dont prove a thing and whos to say if you send someone your super spectacular file that file forums will have anything to do with releasing it.. the internet is a big place it could be released anywhere and how are you helping out the commuity..
