Help With ToCA Race Driver 2
 

I have Toca Race driver 2 on DVD, when it gets to the point where I need to enter the CD key it starts to check the disk and takes about 10minutes before it gets to the end and then says the key is invalid.

If I enter a different key that is wrong it tells me it's invalid in about 2 seconds, but with the right one the DVD it takes ages before it says it's invalid.

I have tried patching it and it didnt work and have tried all the no cd fixes I can find online and none of those work either.

Does anyone know what it might be? It's really annoying because I have the DVD right here with the right key etc it just refuses to accept it.

Is your original CD scratched badly?

No, it's brand new. It came with one of those game packs you get when you buy computers sometimes, my friend had it and didnt play it once it so gave it to me still sealed.

Reloaded's crack is for the 1.2 patch as well so you'd need to patch first.

from what i have read the reloaded crack only works with the reloaded rip of the game.

no i havent tested it nor seen it on the internet,i have read it on forums when doing searchs for the crack.

and as far as i have seen the reloaded game rip is not available yet anyway,from what i have read.

i saw it on nforce...made the search,couldnt find it,nor did i read where to find it.

what i am planning on doing is waiting for it to hit a torrent site then i will download it,(the crack only) and then i will upload it here,aslong as reloaded hasent already done so.

really no one here who can upload it that we all can test it ^^

my mate just tested it,it dont work neither.

Works fine for me......

Install game from orig DVD
Update to 1.2
Copy over crack
Remove DVD and use mini-image (or it asks for the disk)
Play!

You are right it works
1. If you have the right Mini-Images, there are several Versions out-for Uk,De,Us and maybe other languages too
2. You need the Key of the Polish CD Version to run the game with the mini image.

In most releases the Key was Killed "for obvious reasons" , but you can get a e real one on The Edonkey/Emule Networks. Files don't get modified on edonkey, no bad Law Freaky persons there ...

If you meant "law freaky" as an insult, you might wanna apologize for it. GCW admins don't remove serials and CD-keys from no-CD patches and mini images only to annoy you!

Big THANK "Andre2779" your linked crack is a "Fixed.exe" so you can use it with a backup copi from game in DVDrom drive or with a mini image & virtual dvd drive without. this "fixed.exe" work after update 1.2 I have tested with a backup copie in drive, on win XP SP1. :D
Tested it in french. don't know how it work in polish or italian or other but french is ok. :)

I have the reloaded version of the dvd and the crack. I installed it off the drive, updated it to v2.1 and then copied over the crack. Every time that I try to run it I get (RD2.exe - Entry Point Not Found The procedure entry point RestoreLastError could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll) I have not burnt it out yet. I will try this next. If that doesn't work, I'm done with it. It's just not worth it.

YES already i have make a test on SP1 and dosn't work.

make test with different type of system modes,possible it work. :D

Nothing to do dosn't work on SP1 in all possible modes.

Now i updated offline my SP1 to SP2 and the crack & nocd patch work Proper. :D

Possible if you update to SP2, you encounter "Blue screens" they are due to the execution mode from DDRam drive on SP2, than Go to your BIOS and remove all DDRAM overclocking modes and high performances settings SET to default .blue screens will desapear. and your OS dosn't work slower, SP2 run allways the ram with bether performances as an "overclocked SP1" :cool:

The NEW NO-DVD-CRACK for version 1.2 of "TOCA/DTM Race Driver 2" can not be downloaded! Someone has linked to the old NCRYSO-crack for version 1.0!

I have tested it it really is the old crack from NCRYSO and not a new one from RELOADED!

IF A MODERATOR / ADMIN READS THIS PLEASE TELL SOMEONE TO FIX THE LINK, PLEASE!

1st of all, that isn't the new crack, it is simply a fix for NCRYSO's original crack which didn't work at all (not that the fix works much better). 2nd of all, that crack is actually a loader which supposedly works for all versions so you're maybe expecting a bit much. 3rd of all, stop spamming forums when you didn't even give the crack a good lookover. It's exactly what it says it is. Nobody has even tried to upload the RELOADED crack yet.

That being said, I do posess the RELOADED crack, have confirmed it works on any flavor of RD2 as long as it is patched to 1.2 and will attempt to upload it as soon as I finish this post. So be on the lookout.

I stand corrected on it not being available. But GCW will help spread it much better and that doesn't make the first part of my post any less right. Hey, at least no more of that Starforce headache.

Well, maybe it works, but you cannot save your progress in game (at least, in the spanish version). I' ve tried to run the free race mode, and after i finish a race and i try to race the following one, it always shows me the first race (no matter what championship you are trying to run. I' ve running my own and legitimate copy of the game, and i have applied the crack, but no way. In my case, it's true i can run the race i want, but i can't run a complete championship, because of the problem i am telling you: always the first race, and no option to go to the next one... :mad:

maybe the crack isent compatiable with teh spanish version,cos this works perfect on my mates machine.

I'm using the reloaded patch.

I'm running win2k (SP4- fully updated), P4 [email protected] / 6800GT@415/1100 (81.84's) and every other game works! Toca 2 is the only game that Does Not Work! And I keep getting this error.

RD2.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point RestoreLastError could not be located in the dynamic link libarary kernel32.dll

Now if this is an issue with my configuration or software then why is it that toca2 is the ONLY! game that does this? I have like 25 other games installed non of them do this. GTR even runs on this system without a problem!!

By the time that this acutally works Toca 3 will be out and that will be even more of a P.O.S.

RestoreLastError is an XP (or higher) export from kernel32.dll, technically the crack is bad for any os under xp, because RestoreLastError has to be changed to GetLastError or SetLastError (cant remember which but i think its the first one), this can be done by hexediting the import table of the exe, fixing it and making it work on 2k (or higher) again... its been discussed before..

or he could just get xp :P
