Antiblaxx problems

Poseted here cuz I talking about Antiblaxx. Admin move if you think it is in wrong place.

Anyways, I installed this piece of **** today, and it auomatically deleted all entries in my registry for hardware. However, it says it made backups. How can I reinstall thos backups??

Rightclick Tray icon -> Advanced -> Restore important data
P.S. I would use 'Virtual CD Hide' instead ;)

caki 22-09-2005 11:28

Did that, but it didnt work :( Im gonna kill the ****er!

You could use something like Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools 3.47 but when you install it just rename both driver things (normally just add one more #/letter) it installs and then you won't have any trouble with games that block out CD-emulators (like Battlefield 2).

With all that then you wouldn't even need Anti-Blaxx or any screwed up registries.

caki 26-09-2005 20:03

Hehe ok thx man. It worked :).

DRAGoN.X 27-09-2005 02:50

Your welcome.

acal3000 29-09-2005 00:19

Honestly Antiblaxx never worked for me I prefer the usal no cd cracks

DRAGoN.X 29-09-2005 11:11

Sure, but you have to admit that Mini-Images are alot more convientent since they work for any version of the game.

Yeah, you are right, mini image works with any version and works on multiplayer

the problem is that everytime the newer protections make a lot more difficult make emulation to work on older games that wasn't so difficult, I only use mini images like last option when I can't get to work some cracks

caki 29-09-2005 15:01

I love mini images :D Online play without the CD. Of course there are other ways to achieve this, but mini images are the easiest :).

Yea, I'm with you there. Tried making a mini image of my Rome Total War Barbarian Invasion that I just bought. It uses safedisc 4 so your probably thinking that the old Alcohol 120% read for 3 errors then quit mode might work right? Well it dosn't and I'm pissed!

Could you please repeat your instructions more clearly?
I don't really understand what I have to do.
I have Alcohol 120% installed ..

Thank you

If you have it installed first you are going to have to uninstall it completely. Then reinstall it, but on the first setup screen check the Expert Installaion box (in one of the corners). Then keep clicking next as usual until you get to a screen that has the names of the drivers on them. Now here you have to change them. So basically just add something on to the end of each one. I don't remember what it was but there is room for one more number or letter. just add an "a" to the end or "b" or any other letter of the 26 letters that there are. Do that for both drivers on the screen. The same goes for Daemon Tools. Just add another letter at the end.

Hey can u pls explain how u restored ur driver details in registry. I installed antiblaxx and and afterwards my cdr writing maximum is speed is down to 2x and it doesnt write cds also.....How do i get my cd writer to my old status....
I even uninstalled the device and reinstalled using hardware manager....
I shows 48x maximum writing speed in the drive properties after reinstalling it but while using nero it is showing 2x.
I have restored the antiblaxx data and uninstalled it.
Ash.

DRAGoN.X 08-10-2005 08:47

The only way I know is to reinstall the CD Drivers completely. First uninstall Antiblax which I belive you already did. In your post you said you already tried uninstalling and reinstalling your CD drivers right?

Thats what I was about to suggest to you. Why not try updating the firmware on your CD/DVD drive to make windows see a new drive and install new drivers. Its a shot in the dark and the worst that can happen is you getting so new firmware.

If you are having trouble with the firmware, just tell me what kind of drive it is and I'll tell you what to get for it.

i have a similar problem :(

my DVD writer wont write *.iso files anymore since i uninstalled antiblaxx. i tried pretty much everything to solve that problem.
i have updated the firmware, reinstalled my DVD drivers and tried the windows systemrestoring-thing (dont know english name since im from germany ^^). i also tried to reinstall alcohol.

if i do a write simulation it works without any problems, but when i try to write it doesnt even start writing.

i hope you understand what im trying to say. my english is not the best :(

what can i do know?

I tried adding an "a" to the end but it didn't worked... :(
Any other idea?

DRAGoN.X 31-10-2005 20:05

Sometimes that doesn't work. Then you would have to use either securom stop or anti-blaxx. Some games I found work great with both, some work great with one or the other. (i.e. FEAR works with both, Civilization 4 only seems to work with anti-blaxx)

DragonX:

When I first did an install of bf2 in advanced mode I Saw that bus name option but didn't change it. I saw your post and then reinstalled but on my second install attempt the bus name option did not come up!

Do you know a way to fix this so I can change it for that and daemon. I have the 1.03 patch and am trying to use the daemon image on GCW.

hmmm i tried renaming it but im not sure i did it right the game still asks for a cd...

hucho 13-11-2005 12:26

how do you use antiblazxx?

BITEME 13-11-2005 19:22

Personally, my advice to "how to use anti-blaxx" is NEVER USE IT. It's known to cause horrible conflicts with daemon tools and screwing up system configuration files. If you tried changing the bus name for alcohol virtual drive and it still gets detected, use either SafeDisc4 hider for SD4 protected games or SR7.STOP for SecuRom 7 protected games.

BTW, Civ4 obviously doesn't work with SR7.STOP because it's SD4 protected.

?

Just put the original game in and run.

hucho 14-11-2005 14:17

sorry im just barely use to using daemon and stuff...

DRAGoN.X 14-11-2005 14:23

I take back my orginal post, you can't really "use" safedisc 4 persay, it does it automatically when you start up anygame that uses that protection.

hucho 14-11-2005 14:38

hmmm it isnt working...im not sure of how to mount the safedisk clone..

hucho 14-11-2005 15:19
