Chronicles of Rid**** v1.1 Help
 

Hello everyone I am having a problem installing the v1.1 patch of this game. I do a full install of the game them click on the patch and it gets installing and 5% into it their is an error saying (Old file not found). Can anyone help me..............Thanks.

are you using some sort of NoCD crack for the original game? The update is probably looking for the original game exe! If it cannot find the original then it wont update.

No I try the v1.1 update just as sooon as it is don installing. that is the first thing I do after Installing.

Are you installing the main game from the original discs?

You may have to contact the game publishers for help with the update. You may get lucky here if someone else has experienced the same problem? I havent tried installing the update myself and I dont currently have the game installed to try it for you. :)

So you have no Idea what could be causing this?

The patch is for a different region, like Europe, Australia, America?

The name of the patch I tried is (rid****_update_en_10_11) is this the right Patch or is it a different one?

en i take means english, wether that means UK english or US english I dunno.

Could you post a link to the us vursion or is it agenst the rules of the form. And is their a difference in the patches?

That one you posted is for American Versions the European have their own patch.

So that means that it should work right.

I just did a clean install of the game Im gonna post with the results.

I got the error again here is what it said (Old file not found. However, a file with the same name was found no update done since file contents did not match) That's that same error I get everytime I try it. I have no idea what the problem is. Do you have any advise about this. Thanks.....

The file that it stoped on was (Content\Gameworld_Win32_x86.dll). Maby this will help....

I figured it out. The problem was I live in the us so I tried using the us patch but it didn't work. I was looking around on other sites and people were saying they had the same problem as I did. They fixed it by adding the EU patch. So if your having problems installing the v1.1 patch check your box and see what vursion you have so you know what patch to apply. Thanks for all your help.
