Advent Rising No-cd

Can anybody tell me where I can find a NO-CD for ADVENT RISING please.

Micscience 28-08-2005 19:34

It's not out yet, you have to mount the game with daemon tools and use the fixed mds file which I am trying to get it to work still. Here is the fixed mds file if you get it working give me a holla.

Ok, I dont normally go on forums but I really need the no cd crack for advent rising so how exactly did you do it and give me step by step instructions plz!!!
Trust me I'm gonna need em.

Micscience 30-08-2005 17:42

Your going to need daemon tools 3.47
1. extract the .iso file
2. open it up the .mds file with daemon tools
3. select all options on under emulation
the game installer should pop up then install the game, exit installer
4. download the .mds fix file and rename it the same as the original then replace it.
5.open up daemon tools again and open advent rising image from the .mds file from there AR should pop up if not go to my computer there is a new virtual drive with Advent Rising icon start the game from there.

DABhand 31-08-2005 03:56

what Iso file and what mds file are you talking about?

Landtat 31-08-2005 05:52

out of range?

Hi folks. I've been lurking over a year and i finaly could not find an answer to my problem anywhere on the forums.
Got Advent to work without my cd by following the above, and deleting anti-blaxx (big conflicts), but I can only play on my smaller of the 2 monitors and\or my TV thru s-vid. My primary monitor goes "out of range"
any clues, and yes I have upgraded the drivers to the latest on this crap crt benq. TIA

DABhand 31-08-2005 06:04

Try lowering your refresh rate on your monitor to 60hz, and to make sure the game is not starting up in high resolutions.

Is your Benq monitor SVGA?

Landtat 31-08-2005 06:20

hmmmmmmmmmmm

Thnx for answering so quick Dab. Tried the 60Hz and it does the same. Even tried lowering my hardware acceleraction. All that does is tell me a critical element is missing.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind playing on the TV, but there goes higher than 800x600 right out the window. SVGA is what it is yes.<<< the pos BenQ I meant.

DABhand 31-08-2005 06:57

That is very weird buddy. But I think you would get a quicker answer at the developers site/forums.

Perhaps another user has an answer to it.

Landtat 31-08-2005 07:08

okely dokely good nieghbor

Tried the site and I'll be damned if i can find a support link anywhere yet. Even tried the developers site. Honestly , I just think it's just crap hardware. Not a bad thing, heheh, gives me a legit reason for the wife to OK a new tft one. :D

What type of video card do you have? read the release notes it should tell you the compatability of video cards.

Geforce 4 with 64mb will not cut it this game takes alot of framerate so you will need a decent video card to render it. I think the lowest end card under releae notes recomendation is the old geforce 4 TI series and up from there. What I did which helped me to get a bit further but didn't fix the problem was lower the game to 600x400 this may be an option you might not want to sacrifice. I set my desktop to 800x600 and from 32bit to 16 bit. Then once I started the game up I alt tabed went to task manager and under processes I right clicked advent rising and set the process to above normal. This took me farther but then it eventualy couldn't cut it. Keep in mind I'm running a 800 Duron with a geforce 2mx. Hope this helps.

Landtat 31-08-2005 11:30

Figured it out

It's not the vid card, but it is my primary monitor. Since I upgraded the drivers for it, it will not support lower than 1024X768. So if anyone can tell me how to change the rez in the game i can play it on my main.
Thnx for all the help fellahz.

OK, sent game vid to my secondary screen and set game vid to 1024x768. Then reset my main monitor back to primary status....All Sorted.

What a purty game it is in high rez and all bells and whistles.
Again, thnx for all your help guys. I'll try to hang around a bit more here to repay your help!

Micscience 31-08-2005 14:12

Thats what I tell people in high res this game looks nice they all say it has crapy graphics, I think it's because they are Halo fanbois anyways glad you got it working kick ass I gotta wait for my vid card QQ

I had an idea, try changing the driver for the Benq monitor to SuperVGA standard driver and not the Benq one.

Landtat 01-09-2005 05:14

Yawnnnnn

Just woke up with mighty hangover. lol
Thanx for the advice for the svga standard drivers. Sounds like a good idea because now Madden06 won't play on it at all.

DABhand 01-09-2005 06:54

God damnit :\

LOL Good old Benq they either Work or they Dont work, like all their products lol

Landtat 01-09-2005 07:00

heheheheh

Damn! where's the smilie that pukes gutz?!?!?! Never drink more wine than what fits in a bottle bigger'n yer head.
heheheh being Italian means i can put the stuff away!
I always do that, why old julio gallo makes a gallon bottle is beyond me. You would think at my age i would stop meeting the challenge of drinking it all.
Anyway, I'll search a bit for some drivers when I'm a bit more clear headed.

FatterGILES 09-09-2005 22:56

ok this may not be on the same lines as the whole no cd key thing but i get a message that says "original disc could not be found or authenticated" i have tried the image thing thinking that that may solve the problem and it didnt. now i am very upset and have tried countless times to re-install and run the game from the original disc and the image. now i am just mad. and to make things worse i go to the advent rising website and there is no help thing. if anyone can help me please do or try i am up for anything now.

amlucent 12-09-2005 11:45

yea a no cd crack will definately be helpfull... I get the same error. but I cant use daemon tools because I use XP 64 bit. So I guess I am just SOL.

al21 18-09-2005 06:15

Any group out there care to make a no-CD? :(

Joe Forster/STA 19-09-2005 05:02

Certainly. It's just that they - or other cracker groups, for that matter - don't bother to read this forum. ;)

doomerdgr8 15-11-2005 11:34

Good instruction?

Well, any no-cd?

I think the instructions are:

1. Make an image of your DVD using Alcohol (latest)
2. Once complete, you'll have two files: .mdf (big) and .mds
3. Discard the .mds file and use the one provided here...
4. Right?

yudah 08-12-2005 09:03

dosen't work

somebody tell my what should i do ti run ADVENT RISING,i try all posiibility....even whit the mds: mad: ......

Joe Forster/STA 08-12-2005 09:15

You might want to read a FAQ for lots of ideas to try...
