How did you came up with your nick?
 

Hi all, now is the time to tell everybody how your nickname was born... :eek:

To start the thread and get everybody along I'll start with mine.
I had a nickname before that was really bad so I was thinking of a new one, as a coincedence I was reading a sports magazine and saw an article about skiing. They had written something about skiing glasses and one brand that had the name cosmiuqee or something strange... Cleaned that up and got kosmiq... And there I am.. :D

So come on people, tell everyone the story...

How i come to my nickname:
It's "some" years ago (it was released 1993!), i was playing the game Fantasy Empires (http://www.thelegacy.de/Museum/4316/).
I had to invent a name for my character. I pressed a few keys on my keyboard simply coincidentally. The result was "godan lih".
I added "ar" at the end and my new Fantasy Empires character "Godan LiHar" was born. GLH is just the short version of "Godan LiHar".
And until today, because I possess at all no fantasy, I invented so far no new name.

I think my Nick speaks for itself! I am an old, moody, cranky, sour, rude, obnoxious, depressed, mean, undersexed, son of a B**ch! :D
No but seriously 'Grumpy' is the name someone had given to their very mean sounding car! I just liked the name.
And yeh I am 'not' a dwarf! ;)

yeh, if you were a dwarf i guess you'd be 'stumpy' instead of grumpy heheheheh, as for my nick, its kinda obvious

My nick as such doesnt exists, as it's just my name, so i'll guess you folks will have to ask my parents. :)

My wife is the reason i got this nickname. She subscribes to the "wiccan" religion (if you dont know what it is look it up). everytime she got in a argument with one of her friends they would call her a witch lol :D . I thought it was funny and said if she was a witch that must make me a Warlock lol. The name stuck. Thats been about 10 years ago lol.

I came up with mine when listening to the Dogg Pound '2002' album. The track's called Smoke....I added the X for a little..color...

That 'wiccan' don't they believe in magic and such? Read some books about it (if it is the same one :P ) and found it rather... well funny... :D

Mine was a the name I chose for a character for an rpg. I don't know why I chose it, but I was not thinking of "squall" at the time. I hate this name but I've used it for so long that I just keep using it.

Yeah i used to pick at her until she threatened to put warts all over my nuts :D

hahahahah, I got a friend that is sooo into that "religion" and he is pretty funny to pick at... :D
eeerrr... back to nicks, right? :P

Came up with bighap in the summer 1998, the summer of the famous Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa home run race. McGwire was called Big Mac. So I have big and part of my last name = bighap.

Mine well...
 

It was 6 years ago. I got dragged to one of those pyramid scheme meetings; they wanted to recruit people for selling their pre-paid legal insurance. It felt like a cult.
The person in charge said, “I’m horrible with names and I hope your names are easy”. She started with me. I said, “My name is simple, it's Nick”. She looks right at me like I'm speaking German and replies, "Snake?" My buddies started laughing. Afterwards they told all my friends, who then called me at work for the next two months asking for SimpleSnake.

The "cRazYgAMeLoVEr" nick came from various silly stories but none more proud than the fact that I am a CRAZY game lover. I guess after spending time in the U.S. Marine Corps, thats enough to make anyone cRazY. It can be amazing when you think about what ppl can get use too. As for me, I got use to all of the crazy games they use to play in there.
Just a couple sample stories from that era of my past.

Making us grab our matress and bringing it down a hall for inspection. LOL
Making us get up at 4:00 in the frigin morning to run 3 miles in the rain.
Making us sit in a fox hole for 2 days straight while they run around throwing tear gas grenades in the hole with us.
Making us shine our boots only to make us wear them for that run in the rain.
Pure and simple Milton Bradley fun military games.
Can you believe I re-enlisted for a second term...................PURE CRAZINESS.
Last but not least, all of the great video games made to help us keep our sanity. 3 cheers for all of those great game makers.... :p

Mmh, my nick was actually born when I started cracking....
I used to be the "old man" in various groups and I like The Simpsons.
Allthough I "retired" from cracking, I still love this name, cos Simpsons' Monty Burns is a real rotter, and so am I, at least, that is what my wife keeps telling me :)

Not much more to say, only that I use some other nicks on various occasions....:)

It sounds strange but how did you lern it? I wanted to start cracking games and NoCD's but don't know where to find good tutorials and stuff...
I tried the one's pinned in the forum but most of them aren't very helpful or the links are broken or don't exist anymore :confused:
I'd like to ask you if you could tell me some links where to find some tut's and stuff to learn it a bit...

Yes I have now watched all of your DVD!!
Firstly, a BIG Congratulations on your award! Well done mate, you must be pleased with it. By the sounds of things you are going to be doing a lot of travelling in the near future. It must be a big honor for you to be accepted by those guys?
Your blindfolded, 2 pizzas over the shoulders was very well done. Very smooth and it was good to see the pizzas actually rolled over and kept the perfect roundness as they went. That in itself must have taken a lot of pratice and time to perfect!
I thought the guys who did the Matrix routine were very effective and very amusing. That was quite a clever show they put on.
The young guy who got the honorary award was also deserving of it. He did his routine at a nice fast speed and (as far as I could tell) without to many errors.
The Italian guy, the one with the big pants cuffs who performed the single routine, certainly had the right face expressions! He had a nice big smile the whole time and his face expressions really showed he enjoys what he does.
But your blindfolded trick was certainly the most impressive one!
Very good job on the DVD, it was very entertaining indeed.
