Crack for KOTOR II v. 2.10.427?
 

Is there a crack somewhere for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic v2.10.427, or for any patched version of the game at all? I can't find anything! :(

Nope there is no crack for it yet. Version 2.10 was the result of update 1.0b, so keep an eye on the current thread here and at other forums for KOTORII 1.0b (no sense trying to get people to correct their referencing now ;))

I´m sure megagames can provide u with this crack. I took it from there but don´t know which versions are available. :confused: :D

Well, MegaGames only have the crack for v1.0 (or 2.0) of the game (MegaGames says 1.0, but the game itself says 2.0).

But its for the original version of the game, not for the last official update patch.

If you look on gamecopy world (here's a mirror site):

you can see they corrected the version number to match that found in the original game version (2.0) - just to show people that we're not nuts when we ask for a fix for version 2.10 (the updated version).

General Question about this crack!!!
 

When I looked for this crack, I couldn´t find it. Why? Probably cause the search engine worked not so good? So I went to megagames and nearly wanted to start to complain about gcw. But now I am really surprised that gcw has all cracks and trainers. Thought this game ist not a big seller. Do I have to look for Star Wars or Kotor when I search the game fixes? :D :confused: But that doesn´t really matter, why can´t you play a non-updated version?

Well, here's three good reasons:

1. LOTS of bugs
2. Even MORE bugs
3. You guess... That's right! BUGS!

well, personaly I CAN'T continue without an update bcu my games goes crazy with lag and **** when i go to Dantoine, so I need to update to 1.00b and I need the crack, realy surprises me that there is no crack, 1.00b has been out for a while.

Any ETA until the next crack which supports the latest version of the game? I have .cue files of the CD's, and I used Daemon-Tools to image them, but the game isn't detecting them as actually being "mounted" or "in the CD-ROM"

There is lyckily an easy way to solve this - just change something in the "Advanced" section of the Graphics options, like soft shadows, AA or AF when it begins lagging. :)

Can you please attach them here in a post, so I can test them? :D

This is a plea to the people who know how to make nocd cracks.

Please please please... I beg of you...please bring to us a working crack for the new patch to this game. There's I'm sure tens of thousands of people across the planet who would rejoice.

joshy, slight problem - first you have to remove the protection on the exe (securom i think) before you can even attempt doing the no-cd patch, 2 tasks, and if you're just working from that tutorial then i'd say you're screwed

True true :rolleyes: The new Securom seems to be a bit more tricky ;) The last version I cracked (5.00.xxsomething) was total shíte..

The latest SecuRom can be cracked - Grand Theft Auto San Andreas has it and was cracked the same day it was released. I guess there's just not enough glory in cracking only an update for a game. Maybe sometime when someone is bored they'll crack the update.

im already in the process of cracking it, i just ran across this thread by coincidence but keep trying to crack it in case you get it before i do but im pretty fast at it ill post it up when i get it done. ill keep working on it i started on it not too long ago :p

Well, about every other game has cracks for all patches...

Still eager for this crack though. :D

keep in mind this might take a little bit, this new patch for the game is much larger than the previous and any other common game executable, and there is much more jump and call commands to sift through after "bypassing" securom

I think we all should be thankfull that anyone is going to crack it but i'm afraid it won't work with my German version (this is the point where you say - it will!! - and I'm very happy!!)

Artezio, how about you give us some progress reports on how the crack is coming along, say, every three hours? :o

ok sorry i havent had any updates, i got held back big time, one of my windows system files went corrupt so i had to reinstall windows and everything else including visual stuidio .net pro which takes forever lol i will start where i left off last time, its going good so far i just need to be able to test it and my video card is being stupid and it wont support open gl 1.4 anymore like it did, so i have to go buy another one today, ill be leaving in like an hour to go get a new one then ill install open gl so i can actually do a valid test of my crack

please crack this one! I would really appreciate if we someone could dedicate a bit of his time in cracking this one... and I'm sure I speak in behalf of many who enjoy this game but find version 1.0 awfully buggy.
