Pariah NO CD
 

I downloaded the image for the pariah nocd patch, used alcohol to mount it to the virtual drive. Tried to play the game but it still asked for cd 1. I also tried to burn the image to a cd and that won't play. What am I supposed to do next??

You could try using your original CD, that's what they are for :)Did you happen to try the NoCD patch also? You could try mounting in Daemon Tools instead, and you might have to disable Alcohols Virtual drive.

Using clone CD & making a clone image of CD1 works fine. I guess you want something a bit smaller though right? :D

Well, not really because he said he downloaded the mini-image of the Pariah cd1.

If the original poster didn't make it obvious that he or she is using a warez copy, please, don't make assumptions. However, if you wanna play, you can ask him or her tricky questions so that the answer will show the truth... ;)

However, this may be a clue:

Now you don't normally have images on yer hard drive when you already have the game on a CD/DVD when you bought it!

So read into that what you will ;)

In my interpretation, krg325 burnt the mini image, that he downloaded from GCW, onto a CD. Aren't you a bit too paranoid? :D

Actually I will have to agree with Joe for once, the guy tried to burn the mini-image for backup purposes and it didnt work, he also tried mounting it.

I see no indication he is trying a warez copy.

Can't find 'ini:Engine.Engine.GameEngine' in configuration file

(my cpu is a p4 2.5 its overclocked, and i have a radeon 9800pro)

Reinstall the game, apply all official updates and don't use any no-CD patch. If the error is still there, contact the game publisher/developer or see the official game support forum.

Thanks Joe for ur opinion but im pretty sure this posting was about getting the game to work without using your original cd. iv used patch and recieved the same error as fkr2b so anyone that has figured out a way to fix this problem or some relavent info on getting game to work without cd please post :)

alot of games have this type of errors....i have seen threads for UT games with the same errors........well this game is based on that engine....

I 2 also tried everything... Mounting image from GCW still asks 4 cd... I used CloneCd latest version w/ protected game cd mode, and alcohol 120% using safedisk 2/3 at low speeds. It acts like it wants to run but I get windows error message saying pariah encountered problem and needs to close. I hate using original cd's. I have 2 kids 4 & 2 and they always seem to destroy everything... Somebody suggest something without all the warez bull? Thanx :cool:

I'm using the Pariah V1078 [MULTI] Fixed EXE from GCW and it works fine.
In the link below there are three files, just use the PARIAH .EXE and replace the original .exe file with that one.

This only works with the original version (V1078) of the game and not with the update patch.
