SCCT - Need Help From everyone, we're CLOSE
 

Heya everyone... I'm extremley close to getting this game under control.

I need HELP though

We need someone who has already tricked starforce with the email trick. Someone who got a code from starforce, and can play the game without any problem.

FROM THEM, i need these things:
their splintercell3.exe,
their udmlib.dll,
and a registry key from:
-HKEY LOCAL MACHINE
---SOFTWARE
-----UBISOFT
-------Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
---------Keys
----------HardwareProfile_00000001
(or the LAST HardwareProfile in the list)
to get to the registry, go to start>run>"regedit" in the space, and press enter

to export, right click on "HardwareProfile" and export :D

I'll set up an upload area for the other EXE and DLL to be uploaded

WE'RE VERY CLOSE. PLEASE GIVE HELP.

I still think that it won't work still because of the difference in hardware configurations so the registry keys might not work.

The code is unique to your particular PC hardware, and not generic.

splintercell3.exe and udmlib.dll (protect.dll) - absolutely same at all people. Difference only and sure in registry keys. Dunno, where you close. I think you want legal keys only :p stored in registry.

hmmm, i see... but i'm not 100% sure,

it's close :P could work the way i'm sayin, we should try it...

however it would make more sence that the runtime data be from the hardware. Perhaps the harddrive?

anyone have any clue on where to get the runtime data? or where it's from?

Guess I have to keep my DVD in a safe so it won't be scratched and I can use it to play this game? :D Any ideas people?

couldnt of put it better myself..Surely the configurations in the registry keys are unique as the registry keys in my PC will be different to anyone else's.

You say you are so close, but have you tested this on more computers than your own? Have you tested it on 10-20 PCs with different configurations?

I guess I'm just lucky, I read in a post somewhere that some guy found he could play a backup because his DVD drive was connected through a PCI RAID controller...

Well, thinks I, my motherboard has an on-board RAID controller, (on of those crappy but common Promise Lite chips). However, I found that the controller only allowed connecting of hard drives.

Then! I read about a hacked BIOS for the Promise RAID which makes it a plain UDMA controller, sure enough, I eventually found the BIOS file for my ASUS A7V333 M/B, flashed the BIOS, installed the "Promise Pure UDMA" device driver, stuch my SCCT backup in the drive and et voila! The protection system checks for about 2-10 seconds and the game loads / runs perfectly!!!

So, there is hope for a lot of ppl out there with crappy RAID controllers on their motherboards which they never thought they'd use, this german guy has hacked BIOS for many of these motherboards so all of you can play SCCT on backup!

So, it's mean - we need emulator of RAID... Not SCSI... Is it possible?

I dont know personaly and am unsure of what was stated (if its even avalible to the general public)but if its avalible then why not google ? You can find most things that way.

Why do you need a BIOS hack to play SCCT? The BIOS has nothing to do with SF3. You need to focus on hacking SF3 rather than the BIOS. Ignore the damn BIOS!

If you read the post that the question is related too you will see that it is a bios hack for the promise RAID controller and the fact that after flashing it and making it a standard udma controller it can play SCCT backups.

Is it posible to crack this game?

I had that too with the game The Fall. StarForce support couldn't help me.

Just return the game. SF protected games are not worth buying.

I have been reading forms all over the net here and there on how people are trying to get SCCT to work for them. I came across a very interesting way to make another game with close to the same problem work. To play the game GTR (which has the cd-check as well) you have to do the following:

No-CD method:
In order to play without swapping the original CD-Rom all the time you need to do the following...

1. Make sure you have the latest version of Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools installed.

2. Install GTR.

3. Shut down your computer and disconnect all your cd/dvd drives.

4. Start up your computer.

5. Open your Computer Management then go to> Device Manager> System Devices.

If you have Alcohol installed you should see "Plug and Play BIOS Extension" and if you have Daemon Tools you should see "PnP BIOS Extension". If you have both installed you have to do the following for both.

6. Right click "Plug and Play BIOS Extension" or "PnP BIOS Extension" and go to Properties.

7. On the Details tab you can select "Device Instance ID". Looks like ROOT\SYSTEM\0003. Remember or write down the last numbers.

8. Now you go to> Start> Run> Now you type: regedit

WARNING! You are now about to edit the registry. Errors in the registry can cause errors in your system. If you do exactly what's described here it won't go wrong. You are responsible for your own actions.

9. On the left side you go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\R oot\SYSTEM

10. Under the system folder you see the number(s) as you found in step 7.

11. Right click the number(s) and select "Permissions"

12. Click on the System group and set "Read" to "Deny"

13. Close regedit

14. Mount the .mds from this package

15. Start the game and use this serial: <deleted - NO SERIALS HERE!>

NOTE: This serial will only work with the .mds included.

16. Start the game and enjoy!

When you update Alcohol or Daemon you need to follow these steps again.

its a website to a download, pretty big file (77.6 mb), so i dont think its just a patch

It's a game patch...and an old patch at that! It's not a no-DVD crack!

If a mini-image works from a USB 2.0 external disc drive, could it also work from a USB 2.0 flash drive? In this case SCCT?

I don't know if you've successfully tested the no-CD method you suggested...but it does not seem to work for me :(

The best I could get was a "Please insert the DVD in another drive and press retry" message!!!!
