SCCT 3 third try
 

Now since the second thread is closed I open up the third
because I want to know how to play the with this method: :o


Mount up Splinter cell 3 with daemon tools and then go to virtual cd/dvd rom Set device parameters and then u ll se at the upper left corner VENDOR yust rename it into USB 2.0 and also rename the box where it sas REVISION into 3.0.Now unmount splinter cell but dont disable the drive cause you will need it.Also disable cd and nodes with starforce nightmare version:1.12!!!Now the last thing yust mount splinter cell image directly from MY COMPUTER now right click on a drive and select mount image!!
And DONT mount that image on a virtual drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont do this in daemon tools cause it wont work!!

You need a full image of the game!!!

You dont need to insert the dvd you yust need to have a full image of the game!
If you have more than 2 dvd devices you shoud be using only 1 yust disable other devices if you have more!!!YOU NEED TO HAVE 1 OPEN DEVICE IN DAEMON TOOLS AND 1 FROM YOUR COMPUTER !!!
Now you can go and see in DEVICE MANAGER/DVD/CD-ROM drives
and there shoud you see USB 2.0....

And you dont need to buy an USB 2.0/DVD...


I still don´t know what do you mean with "MY COMPUTER"?
How can I mount a image without DT or Alc?? :confused:

And why do I need a virtual drive when I don´t mount the image in it??

Close daemon if thats what your using, but leave emulation on.

I fought hard with myself to understand parts of this discription to run Splinter Cell 3, but i also dont understand how i can mount something on NO virtual drive??

With right click on a normal dvd rive, but no ways to mount a image....??!

Also i dont understand "Use sn 1.12 to disable cd and nodes"...what the hell are "nodes"?

ANd why disable the drives and then mount with a drive...


i really dont understand...but it seems, iam not the only one ^^

Option Daemon Tools
 

Hi guys,

To mount image in My Computer on DT units, you must install a third part software downloadable from daemon-tools.cc site.
Watch download section ------> 3rdy part addons.
Download it and install it.
Now after logoff windows, you find in my computer when right click mouse on Dvd/cd unit of DT, mount image directly in menu.
Bye :)

Note: Images cannot be mounted on Phisical Drives but only Virtual Drives.

Dt units are Virtual unit letter that Daemon tools assigned, example: F or G:

However you must download from Menu software awxdttoolsXXX.exe and install it.

I FINALLY understood what this description wants from me ... and i can mount from MY COMPUTER on the dtool drive.
I think i got one!

So, it means i should NOT disable ALL my CD / DVD Rom Drives, only 1 of 2!! iam a little bit confused what i should do now, but i will disable first both of them, then i'll try with only one disabled...

I see it, called usb 2.0 dvd/cdrom in device manager ... ;)


But other questions....after installing splinter cell ... reboot to complete this stupid driver process or do it all step by step without rebooting all the time?

Should i kill these driver after reboot / before reboot with sfcleaner?

And what can i do with Star****?

I had tried without all ide cd/dvd drives and with one...he still want the dvd in another drive ... ;/

It's no use answer all these questions
I have the same problems, u can try whatever u want, it won't work

Whell maybe it works the only problem is you need a mini-image or the full image with the right serial otherwise you get the message it is the wrong serial. with toca race driver 2 and GTR (also protected by starforce) there wasn't any problem with a mini-image + correct serial. When you get the message it can't find the disk you didn't disable your disk drives correct probably. (disable secundary ata when your cd/dvd drives are connected to this channel) starforce nightmare didn't work for me.
You may only do this to try the game and have to delete it in 24 hours ;)

i have the original serial for my image....

when you want to disable just one drive do the following:
disable cd and nodes with sn
then enable Sc.Master.
Now you must have only one drive disabled!

Tried the same stuff as Kakarott, but it keeps asking for a serial which I don't have.

I tried this but then I get that box to input the serial. Or do I have the mount the mini-image?

No it says you need a full image
but without a serial you can´t play....
but I have a serial and this method don´t fot work for me

i have disabled both of my dvd devices, they are both connected on the secondery ide port and SN worked fine for me.

I had a full image and the mini image ...


still i want to know, whats with the sf drivers, is this important to kill them or let them alive? Cause if i kill them and want to start the game after it, he wants to reboot the pc to complete installing sf drivers.

edit: i have disabled both dvds and tried with mini image in my one left virtual drive (made it over my computer, right click->mount image) and with full image. Still want the dvd in an other drive, but i dont have any other drives ... wtf!!!!!!!!

There only exist 2 keys of this game (US&EU)
The error we get doesn't really mean that our key is wrong, it just means that the disc we use is no original. I tried this with Tracmania Sunrise which is protected by SF too. But there error is a lil different but it causes the same. It tells me that SF wasn't able to identify the entered disc as the original and that I should proof if it is the original disc.
This just what SF of SCCT is trying 2 tell us. The key is correct!
So try whatever u want but u won't have any success.
Physically unplugging doesn't work too :(

And my problem is, that the game checks, if it's the original-dvd and says after some time, that the key is not correct...I read in another thread, that I'm on right way, if I get this error, but what should I do, to complete this "right way"?

Lösung für Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory! Ohne USB! Funktioniert 100%
Hiho! Ich dachte, das ist vielleicht mal für alle sehr Lesenswert!
Es ist möglich Splinter-Cell 3 ohne (org.) DVD oder USB-LW zu zocken!
Ich erkläre nun wie das geht!

Splinter Cell 3 Chaos Theory

1.Installiere das Spiel mit der Original-Version, gegebenenfalls auch mit dem Patch 1.2 (1.02 oder so)

2.Deaktiviere mit Starforce Nightmare deine Laufwerke oder klemme sie ab (habe ich nicht gemacht, ging auch ohne!!!)

3 Mounte dann das Mini-Image mit daemonTools oder Alcohol
(lieber mit daemon - alc spinnt manchmal rum)

4.Starte das Spiel und benutze den standartmäßigen key ;-), der wohl geläufig ist! (wenn keiner vorhanden serialz.to mal schauen!)

5.Wenn du dann alles richtig gemacht hast, sollte die Fehlermeldung mit dem ungültigen Key kommen

6.Klicke dann auf "Information(en)" und anschließend auf "Ansehen(oder so was in der Art)"

7.kopiere den gesamten Fehlerbericht in eine E-Mail und schicke diese an [email protected]
[In der e-mail solltest du kurz dein Problem beschreiben; Vielleicht ist es ratsam, dass du
deinen ComputerNamen, der in dem Fehlerbericht änderst.. rein aus Vorsicht; Außerdem wäre es

Laufwerk liegen (vielleicht ist es auch möglich das Mini-image zu brennen, das weiß ich nicht, selbst testen!)

PS: Do you have to include the hardware code? Or just the report?

both, you need to include the normal "information".txt (with error code and key) but change the second part of this .txt like desrcibed!

A [dubious] solution to play backup of SCCT without USB2 drive

He installed SCCT with the original cd, then patched it with 1.2 patch.
He deactivated the ide drives (with SFNightmare), mounted the mini-image from GCW, and tried to start the game using his regular key. He then got a standard Starforce error message.

To resolve the situation, he sent an email to starforce support, describing his entire system and the error message. Actually, I think he is trying to say that we all should do the same. As a result the starforce people sent him a message; advising him to hold down shift key, run the game, and enter some special key. Surprisingly enough; this worked. The game started etc etc, and worked 100%, even though he re-activated the ide drives!

Of course he was rather proud and wanted to share this information with us. Thereby revealing his love for pasting long strings of useless info...

In other words, he claims that the starforce cd check can be bypassed with special keys in stead of the regular cd keys. The bad side is that you have to
ask SF for it...

I know :p. Forgot that I posted earlier. Just sent another email with a different email address and this time with 'broken english' (to fool 'm, so that they don't know it's the same one again. Worked with a other game aswell and I even used the same email address twice...). Hopefully someone else answers my email :p (and hopefully with the code :D)

yeah i hope it for u and for me ... i used my germancrap english(bad enough, no need to make it "broken" ^^) and said that i cant explain to me why the game doesnt run ... if everything runs good, they think iam a poor newbie and send me a key ... *gg*

heh, would be the same for me if I had to write German. I can easily read it, but writing it.....I would make 10 mistakes in 1 sentence :p. Anyways, Starforce hasn't replied yet. Think I'll get a reply tomorrow. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Nothing, it's useless
either you send a mail with Kaspars info (informationen können nicht gesammelt werden) and your mail gets automatically kicked or u send you real error report and they can somehow see if u use an image a copy or the original.
Problem is that nowhere in this report really is written what kind of media u use. It must be written in some code or somethin. I tried it 2times and changed some lines of who I thought they could give that information but they found out that I used a copy. That's the same as they knew that u used an image. If someone finds out which line gives the mediainformation DON'T share it in this forum. Only tell by pm to people u know and u can trust cuz starforce knows forum and if they can read it here this method will also be blacklisted.
But so far, sending mails to them is for nothin :D

Have't received anything yet. But might be cos I sent it Friday at 9pm and they probably won't work then and now it's weekend so I think I might get one monday.
