I download the patch but im not sure how to apply it.

Look for HDL AIO 2.5.3 by c0d3x , it's easier to use.

Go to ps2hd.com for the info. They were allowed to host the .elfs too. So its basically freeware there.

I'm completely new to the hard drive loading. I'm not even sure how to use the elf file.

I would register and use the forums of the site that Tyler listed above. There is a lot of great information there on what do with modifying the HD Loader Elf... Programs to use and ways to use them. Even though I know how to do this, if I spoonfed you information with out you researching how to do this yourself, it just wouldn't be fair to the rest of us. Do me a favor will ya? Research for a week and if you are still completely lost in the dark reply to this thread and I will give some pointers. You will probably find the answers all yourself. :)

For games on ps2hd.com can i burn those onto a CD and play em with Magic Swap? Or is there a site where I can download these or will i simply have that copy em from the original?

You should be copying from your originals anyway

Is it HDL AIO 2.5.3 or HDL AIO 2.5.2? I only see the latter from ps2hd.com.

hey guys, well the patch from HDL/HDA all in one program patch my hd loader elf so that i can play my god of war game(DVD5)?

I tried God of War (NTSC) with this HD Loader update and it did atleast boot. I didn't play very much of the game to test complete compatibility though.

well cause with hd loader it boots to the part where it says sony computer entertainment of america presents...and then just freezes there.

My God of War booted all the way to the main menu with the fire and kronos is staring at the screen. Is your God of War flattened to a DVD-5? Mine is and I was wondering if that is why your having problems.

yup..my god of war is flattend to a dvd-5 ...but it doesnt go beyond the sony computer entertainment america presents when installed in my ps2 hdd. but i do however play it with no problems when runnin from my dvd-5.

i wonder if i use toxic's new dl patcher i can patch my original god of war iso and then install it to my ps2 hdd. do u think it should work if i do this?

Only one way to find out, let us know if it works.

I think it was mainly intended for use on discs not hdd's. But if you get the latest fully patched hdl from ps2hd you can put the whole image of GOW on your hdd with winhiip and play that.

hey tyler..so ur sayin all i need to do is get the elf file from ps2hdd site and then use it to make a new hd loader cd?

p.s. i dont have a mc exploit or all that other stuff..i just my hd loader, dms3 modchip and of course my ps2 hdd. so do i still need to put the hd loader elf file in the mc?
