World Snooker Championship 2005 No CD?
 

Is there one out there? I've got the game (100% legal) Just looking to look after the CD'S. TIA.

they seem a bit poor for success rate, do they not roadtest their releases?

Being Safedisc 4.00.002, this should only require a mini-image. I've had a quick go at making one from CD 1, but it's a no go. At least Alcohol or Daemon aren't blacklisted, so I'll try different settings. I'm trying the instructions on CDFREAKS and shall report back shortly.


Edit:Still a no go here. Does anyone know how long a full disc image will take with safedisc? It seems to read bad sectors forever.

No more links to Torrent sites if you please. There are Safedisc triggers in World Championship Snooker 2005, so a NOCD crack will probably require a little more time (Ergo-Champ Mangager 2005). It seems the only way to make a backup at the moment is using a full image file, which will take a long time to produce because of all the bad sectors. Does anyone know the correct Alcohol settings for making a Safedisc 4 full image file?

Just be patient......I've got a mini-image for this, tested and working. It is 1.86 mb unrarred and complete with instructions (as usual). I can't upload to gamecopyworld directly (as I don't use IE), but it should be uploaded indirectly in the next few days. (Which is perfectly ok with me.)

I've been unable to make a mini image. What software and burner are you using to do this? If anyone has a working image, then sent it to GAMECOPYWORLD. I'm currently attempting a FULL image file. Alcohol's been scanning for an hour already, and it's still only on 1.3%! I think I prefer Starforce/USB trick to this.....at least the discs scan quickly.

I am not a phony. Also,it is in your best interest to refrain from flaming. The moderators here know that I release mini-images for the good of the gaming community, I just do it as a hobby. You can check my other releases for yourself at gamecopyworld......Tiger Woods 2005, NBA Live 2005, Madden 2005, Football Manager 2005 etc....they all have the same nfo style.....as this one below:

I'm only doing this because there is no no-cd solution for this game at the moment. If there was......then no need for the mini-image. (Also it is 265 kb rarred....any more proof required?)

p.s. Full image file works fine with Daemon Tools. Currently I'm unable to mount a mini image, but I'll keep trying. Suffice to say, that if I succeed I won't spend all day bragging about it, I'll just upload it immediately.

That's incorrect...I give them out, but as stated before, with my own methods. I'm not obligated. Now what credibility will you have when it is on Gamecopyworld? Just tried that mini image.. but as soon as I try to launch the game it crashes with an illegal operation.

Any idea why, or anyone else getting this problem?

Hey thanks for the cd-image patch, it gets the game loaded etc but now sometimes the game crashes randomly, like starting a new game, sometimes it works sometimes not. Its alot closer than hoodlums attempt so far tho, hopefully it will get perfected really soon.....

You really need a full image for the game to work ok. The thing is, when does a mini-image become WAREZ? you can't read 2-3 sectors for this mini-image, you have to read the full disc, which is getting into Warez territory in my opinion. With the mini-images I've tried, and the ones I've tried making myself, the game crashes back to desktop at random parts.

Make a full image of Disc 1:

All you need to do is use Alcohol to create a full Safedisc profile of disc 1 at 1*. It will take 3/4 of an hour or so to read the bad sectors, but once the game data is reached the rest of it flies along. This image works perfectly mounted in either Alcohol or Daemon. you can burn disc 2 to a DVD with Daemon tools, and you have a perfect working copy. If you're complaining that the mini-images don't work, then you must not have the original discs, and so must have downloaded the game data, ergo you are a Warez Monkey!

Actually i did buy it, well kinda. My best friend and I bought it together, £17.50 each it was. We always do this with games n usually install the game on both pc's n then use a no-cd patch so we can both play at the same time and don't require cd's. at the moment we both can't play at the same time cause there isnt a proper patch for it yet, so i will try what you suggested tonight. It loads the intro, but as soon as the intro movie ends it kicks you back to the desktop.

works fine for me, didnt work when i used it in alcohol 120%, downloaded and recommend ya use the latest daemon tools version. I had that problem but after i restarted it hasnt crashed since if that makes any difference :S

The deamon image works fine for me too :D Now maybefully somebody will invent some sorta trainer or something...........I could actually play it :P

although it has worked fine, i found that there are problems using the image with the jukebox in the game, it sometimes quits to desktop, or as it just did hung and made me reboot pc. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just tried the new image too, still does exactly the same thing.

are u using it with daemon tools?

also if you applied the hoodlum patch, and then are using this it will still crash, u will need 2 uninstall it, re-install it and only use the mini-image, not hoodlum patch!

Getting 'CD/DVD emulation software has been detected'...
 

I don't get it. I downloaded most recent DAEMON Tools and did a new install, without overwriting the original exe. When I try to start, I get a loading picture for a few seconds and then I get the following message ''CD/DVD emulation software has been detected. Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and re-start the game'. I can't disable DAEMON,duh?

emm dunno, maybe make sure there is not a virtual drive made by alcohol aswell as the snooker in daemon?

When you get this message: ''CD/DVD emulation software has been detected. Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and re-start the game', it usually means that you have CloneCD installed and the SafeDisc 4 copy-protection detects that in your registry when you start the game. If you have the latest version, 5.2 this message won't occur, but you have an earlier version and it occurs for you then go to Start/All Programs/SlySoft/CloneCD/CloneCD Tray and double-click on the 'CloneCD Tray' option.

Now you'll find that the CloneCD Tray icon is present in your System Tray, in the bottom right-hand corner of your PC. Right-Click on this icon and check 'Hide CDR media' so that it has a tick. When you do this, the emulation options in your registry get updated so that the SafeDisc emulation is not recognised. Now play the game.

Using Daemon Tools 3.47 to mount the image. Have now un-installed and re-installed (from original) haven't used the hoodlum patch at all as I read it didn't work.

With both images it does the same thing, loads up to the intro movie and then back to the desktop if you let the movie end or click the mouse.

Reading around, there are a lot of people who have got this to work, but there's equally as many who haven't

Any suggestions gratefully recieved :)

:) well I run DAEMON Tools new version and install and did not use and bad file make it crash and then I use mini-image and works! :)
