Rome Total War 1.2 nocd?
 

Been ages since the patch was released, any news of a crack?

I dont' have a no-cd but I am using the v1.2 mini-image. Try using that one.

mini image works, but some cheats require the no-cd

can anyone update this crack? who made the first one?

Some cheats modify EXE (or something like that, I'm no expert), and EXE is encrypted without no-cd crack.

I am guessing they are talking about the 'Trainers'?

He may mean some trainers/cheats patch the EXE while in RAM, if the game is still protected then some parts of the EXE may stil be encrypted/packed and can't be patched.

I know, its pretty uncommon. The problem is that Rome has a lame one-use limit on the cheats. So lets say I wanted to finish my buildings in two cities. Id have to do one, then _restart the whole game, not just to the menu_ then reload the game, then do the other city. It's highly annoying!

Someone on www.twcenter.net made a program that edited the .EXE to allow you to use the cheats as much as you want in the same game.

Unfortunately, it required the un-encrypted no-cd .exe. Now, with the new patch, people use the mini image. But we're forced to use the un-encrypted .EXE, which they cant modify to allow cheats.

SO! With all this explintion, GLH, could you help out the Rome community and put the word around to whoever does these kind of things??

I need the v1.2 image for RTW! cant wait to play it

I tried using the only mini image on gamecopyworld, but the game won't autorun after I mount the image file with deamon tools lastest version. Then i tried going to RTW folder and double clicking on the game file but after the presentation part, it returns to desktop! I need help! what the hell is goin on!

There is no v1.2 image. Only an image of the original you made or download.
Why do you have to wait? Everyone else is able to play without an image.

Well, I can't play the game. Once the game starts, it returns to freaking desktop... idk why... it happened after i dled v1.2 of RTW...... it was fine with the older versions. Any sugestions?

Did you installed patch well?
Does same happen with original CD used too?

Who knows, maybe it's not mini-image realted.

god damn it, then I guess I will have to wait for the no-cd of v1.2... this sucks :mad: and I was so close to world domination with Romans!

You get mini images from http://www.GameCopyWorld.com and you use them by reading the small instructions on the download list page _and_ in the downloaded package. Good luck,

please someone create the no cd crack :\ many many people are requesting one and I need one too, I can't use the mini image file because I don't know it gives me a stupid error saying that I must have administrator privileges to run the application... can someone help me please? create the 1.2 no cd crack for christ sake!! please... :(

Comments like this wont help you get it accomplished! If you must play so badly then use your original disc to play! Otherwise be patient. ;)

you're right im sorry, but im anxious :\ and this error doesn't help me ... i can only play with the no cd crack. the patch has been released ages ago and still no crack :( i don't understand... it says "please login with administrator privileges and try again"... the same happened with v1.0 but I downloaded the no cd crack and then I was able to play.. I searched through the internet and many people have the same problem with other games.

Does the game run from your original disc with the v1.2 update installed but without using any of the NoCD cracks or without using a mini image?
Do you get the error message when just using the original disc to play?

The error message appears with the original .exe and with the mini image. Maybe the problem is the application, because with the 1.0 nocd crack I haven't got any problems... I did a research this morning and I found that many people have this problem and they don't know how to solve it, it is something about safedisc I think... so the only way I can solve this problem is with the no cd crack..

Do not use a mini image, do not use a NoCD crack! Does it play just from the Disc? Forget the cracks and mini image for now!

Then it is not a problem with the cracks or the mini image! Therefore it is an issue you should be taking up with the games tech support, not here. This is a forum about how to get cracks to work. ;)

ok thanks anywayz then, but hurry up with the no cd crack please (lol) :D the only solutions are to reinstall windows or apply the no cd patch :( what luck :( theres many people waiting for the no cd crack... its been ages since the patch was released and no cd crack yet? if it was another game the crack would be released in the same day... :\

I need the freaking no cd too! Just go back to the previous version or play with your original cd.
If your game don't work with your original cd then contact official game support.

Noone on GameCopyWorld is creating game cracks! GameCopyWorld only collect them from the WWW.

Thats actually not very useful advice, as when you are modding its extremely helpful to be able to 'accelerate' buildings and stuff.

Also, 1/2 the time in this game you want to cheat to *help* the ai - as you said, its not hard - in fact, its so easy that the AI needs all the help it can get. The 1.2 patch breaks the difficulty levels, in that HARD and VERY HARD actually give *you* the bonuses instead of the AI, so the game gets easier not harder.

Actually, in battle combat, and only battle combat, both you and AI get bonuses, making combats faster, but not harder or easier.
