Please excuse my ignorance... I tried to back it up with CloneCD but it fails.

What is this "psxlibcrypt" you speak of?

Select the read option, go to Game cd, right click and select edit, Under Data read settings select read sub channel data, under Audio select read sub channel data and under error handling select Automatic fast error skip, Check dont report read errors and check intelligent bad sector scanner. Works perfect for me.

If you see that as walking over somebodys advice you are one sensitive chap. If somebody told you to "Be well" I guess you would feel as if you were being pushed around.

AS STATED, please forgive my ignorance. I cannot seem to find the settings that highly regarded Warlock (a real ps2 expert) was kind enough to assist me with. I of course followed his advice and could not pull up the settings he was speaking of.

If you have nothing constructive to add, don't add anything.

Good looking out Warlock!

H|LLJD00 22-12-2004 11:13

Well i checked his advice and it was fine with my CloneCD.

psx is a settings that comes up, if they dont come up you DO NOT have CloneCD.

trackml2 22-12-2004 11:46

I really hate to beat a dead Mr. Ed hear, but this is what I get:

When I open CLONECD I choose "read to image file" a new window opens showing my DVD burner and my CD burner. I right click the DVD burner and the ONLY settings I have are:

Under the "Capabilities" tab (all checked)
Allow reading of subchannel data from data tracks
Allow reading of subchannel data from audio tracks
Allow reading of CD-Text from Audio CD's

Under the "Fast Error Skip" tab:
Read Retries
Error correction--- "of which there are three choices None, Software or Hardware"

I even tried downloading an older version (TRIAL version, easy Tyler) v 4.2.0.2. which have the same settings. Maybe because I am using a trial version?

Thanks.

H|LLJD00 22-12-2004 11:59

I thought it was under burn not read, so if u cant find it under read its cus its under burn.

cheryl771 22-12-2004 14:21

Ok I was curious about this so I burned a copy of the original hd loader.I followed directions for this using clone cd and put settings exact as stated. I burned it to a verbatim cd-r but when I put it in the ps2 the hd loader screen comes up but then hangs there. It doesn't go to the menu for hd loader at all. My deck is a v9 with dms3. Any ideas why this is not working?

Warlock 22-12-2004 14:56

Put the game into dvd reader. When you open clonecd select read, select the cd reader and select next. You should then see a screen that shows 4 different disc. A audio cd, a data cd, Game cd and multimedia audio cd. Highlight Game cd and right click. You should see, New, Edit and Copy. Select edit and load the above settings. If you dont see it then i dont know whats up. I got versions 4.1.01 and 5.0.4.5. These settings come up on both versions and my HDloader backup loads everytime and its burned on a crappy Fuji cd-r :)

trackml2 22-12-2004 17:56

Thanks for the guidance.

I have now been able to create the image on the hardrive. NOW, when I try to write the image it says "image.sub does not match image.img" Go figure.

What does that big L that I see on my forehead when I look in the mirror mean?

trackml2 22-12-2004 18:25

It probably does not match because the imageimg is 0 bytes
