EDIT. It's there, but launcher Exe from File isn't working! Game doesn't run !!!

Edit. Now its working after reinstall...but its crashing in 1280x1024 Res. with my x800XT Card....with an accesviolation Error.. but 1024x768 seems to be working..think its not the crack..

What happens when you dont use the crack?

For me too, the crack isn't working. Keep getting "Error in Application" messages. Will try a reinstall of the game...

yes that works but you have to delete it every time you change something in the options because it generates a new resolution.cfg then.

for me it only creates a new res.config when i set it on 1280x1024..this gives me an AccesViolation crash....and creates after that the Res.config(empty?).

But i deleted it and set options to 1024x768..works 100% no crash and no new res.config! Runs stable now..
Think the crash an new Res.config must not be a crack Prob!..
I cannot test in the moment if it happens without Crack and with orig Exe too... would be interesting...

Also i've copy all Files from 3 CDs on 1 DVD with only Autorun file from 1CD..so you can install it from this one DVD....sure DVD doesn't run cause Securom....

its definitely related to the crack ,because i didnt have that problem while playing with the cd .if i use the crack and change the resolution it generates an empty resolution.cfg that doesnt work,but with the original launcher exe and the cd the resolution.cfg is not empty and it doesnt crash.

Seems to be more an Driver or Game Problem, cause when its the Crack why is another Res working?? Not typicall for a buggy Crack ???

Im only guessing here as I dont have this game but could it be that this game was made with certain resolutions in mind! Some games (admittingly earlier ones) say in their 'readmes' that the game prefers a specific resolution!
Has anyone actually read the readme that comes with the game? Or does the game run fine in the higher resolutions without the crack installed? None of the previous posts actually say that the game runs OK in 1280x1024 without the crack! Thats why I ask! Can someone confirm whats written in the game readme about resolutions?

well i play with my back up in 1280*1024, works fine for me! i was just looking in the read me, there´s nothing to find ´bout specific or prefered resolutions?!

A fixed LAUNCHER.EXE has been released to avoid the crashes

Cool, it was just a suggestion!
I know some of the earlier games had to be played (or preferred) a certain res. At least that crossed that problem off the list of possibilities!
According to Empire there is a fix now anyway. ;)

This is not a crack problem.
Just delete the resolution.cfg file and it will work perfectly.

sure...this is what i saight before....

but when changig the Res in Options, the Rev.config recreates hisself every Time...only when i let it on 1024x768 its gone!

mine's crashing with both the originals and the cracks, perhaps if someone who's got resolution changes to work could post the contents of their resolution.cfg

I play this game in 1280*1024.

Here is the way to go

1) go to options
2) video
3) change RESOLUTION (1280*1024) and ADVANCED settings (TEXTURE DETAILS,....)
4) change sound settings
5) back
6) back
7) exit
8) delete resolution.cfg (0 byte file)
9) launch the game ....All the config options are saved in the Profiles-Settings file...(You don't need this resolution.cfg file)
10) play

if you want to change anything in the settings ...use the same procedure.
I'll go back to the game...

Hey guys does the sound sound verry crappy for you beacause me its horrible like dostirtion and everything i try change my hardware acceleration everything even the sound quality in the game and its sound crappy... Wonder if its not the crack exe?? Maybe... Any idea :confused:

It sickens me when pirates come on here looking for ways to get there downloaded games working!! :mad: I hope all you PRICKS get banned. I bought the game and it is pretty good!! Tried both cracks to no avail... reinstalled and that didn't help. Is anyone getting the "Launcher.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." error?

I don't have a resolution.cfg, assuming because I've never started the game before...

How did you guys get around this error?

Hello, i have the same problem... I start the LAUNCHER.exe and then apears a black screen and go to windows.... i download the CRACK-FIX and dont help....
( sorry about my inglish i am brazilian )

with no appears at GameStarting..reinstall and copyover launcher.exe!

AccesViolation and Revolution.config don't change Options ...delete the Rev.config! ..This works actually before we've a new Crack!


and mine is named revolution.config...not Resolution..

why don´t you just all play with your back up ´til there´s a 100% working crack??no problems with what ´s been said here for me...works perfect with emulation! ;)

Something is making me wonder

The same seems ton happen with Obscure and Richard Burns rally, that is to say, non support of non XP athlon processors.

BUT I got today the demo of Obscure, said NOT TO work on my processor (1.3 thunderbird) and..worked perfectly, and ran very well full options.

Now, just wondering if it is a crack problem, as I do not have errors like for true crime (i forgot to mention this one also) and RBR. Which error is app name 0.0.0.0 as if the exe destructs itself while launching.

In the case of FSW, just got a black screen and then return to windows

Then, 'goin' to try with original launcher.exe and daemon tools 3.47 (last version), but don't know which cd is to be emelated in order to play ???

Any idea ?

This doesn't work. When you go to Options, it shows '1280x1024' but it will only play in 1024x768.
