from ps2****.com
DVDRick has released a Star Wars: Battlefront (4.37GB) Swap Magic & PS2 HDDS (Hard Drive Down-Sizing) FiX patch! The FiX can be found in THIS Forum thread, and it rectifies the PAL release from crashing when either TEST.LVL or YAV.LVL is accessed from the image. The FiX will also save around 2GB on the PS2 HDD with HD Advance by downsizing the image automatically! BIG props to DVDRick for investing over 10 hours completing this great FiX. Enjoy! does this means it works with th ps2 hdd? |

Download it and try. Then post your results here. Tyler! |
Just to let you all know, I d/l the patch, applied it as per instructions and burnt using nero. Another freaking SWBF coaster. When I try to boot, the playstation 2 logo flashes, then drops me back to the browser. Am currently trying to install on hdd, up to 117 read errors. Anyone advise me on what I've done wrong. BTW, the 1:1 back up seems to play fine.

u need to shop on ebay get it in american alot cheaper

Try this place:
Could Black Screens of Death Be No More? This guy got his Star Wars Battlefront to work. Been checking this site for awhile and damn they know a ton of shiet. Try this place out, although they use hdl_dump or other PC programs to put their games onto the HD. But hey, it's worth a peek if it allows you to play SWBF on your HD :D Also you learn of some of the glitches and problems that HD Loader incurs, it's a very informative site. And once again, if I should have crossed some boundary and violated some rules, I'm sorry! Don't think I have but you can never be too sure :D |
Cheers gtapex_trueno,
I'm about to try it now and see what happens. If this does work, I'm just gonna go and do stuff to myself. Sweet. |
i tried the method above and it works :))
|
ok.. how do i rebuild an image with nero after i change the system.cnf file?
any help..thanks |
Run nero and set the recorder to "image recorder", start new data dvd compilation and add the files, hit burn. you can transfer the .nrg image with winhiip to hdd.
|
Woo-hoo.
Major props to gtapex for sending me down the path of salvation. This game has been giving me the s**ts for the better part of a week. Now it is finally on my hdd and playing beautifully. Muchos gracias. |
ok guys... i have my network set up perfectly as well as the .iso built. now i am having a problem sending it to my ps2 hdd.. i select network and select connect. now when i select my .iso and write in the application name i hit add as job and it says invilid .iso file..
Anyone know what i can do? I also ran the HDLD_SVR.ELF from ps2 link!! Thanks |
eakinsme,
I used winhiip to trransfer mine. It was much easier than screwing around with network settings, well it was for me anyway. If it's not too much hassle, do it that way. Sorry I can't help with the networking. |
how do i use winhip?
thanks |
ok i just d/led it.. but i dont think i can transfer over a network!! that is what i really want to do!!
is it possible? what software should i use to transfer over a network? |
hey guys.. i found a way to do it.. just the good ol' cmd style way!!
|
if you are talking about hdl_dump, there are some nice GUI for it and no need to do the dos way. for example: LordBoGaMi GUI ;)
|
ya thats what i was talking about but.. i cannot get lord.. GUI to work.. i cannot select go.. and when i click do job as.. i get an "invaild iso image" error!!
anyone know how to fix this? i can get hdl_dump to work using dos. thanks |
if you want to use a GUI, you could use hdl_dumb, it's pretty much the same as hdl_dump, except a gui version. Does anyone know if Lord BoGAMI's GUI supports 48 bit LBA? For awhile it wasn't, not sure if it does now.... I do know that hdl_dump/b does support it. (Just use the command line, it's less likely to screw you over and it's simple enough. :D )

the new release 1.1 has HDL_Dump 0.7.3 suuport. HLD_Dump 0.7.3. has 48 bit LBA Support ! Thanks for using my GUI ! LordBoGaMi |
Oi! It's LordBoGaMi! Shame they closed the HDD forums eh? I'm importtuner from there. I really hope they reopen the forum

Need help with ip settings
Ok this is bugging me because i have gotten bogami's hdld_gui to work before but for the life of me i cannot remember how to do all of the ip configuration. I use a router to connect my ps2 to my pc via lan. Default ps2 ip via hdld_serv is 192.168.0.10. I am pretty sure i have to set up a static ip and possiably change something in my router setup. Can someone please tell me exactly what ip settings i need to change?
Thanx, Hoops |
Hi Folks. I have the spanish version of Battlefront 1.2. I can't find any NoCD for this version. Do you know when will it comes out?
Thank You. :) |
Why is this in the PS2 section?
And why not just use your original disc instead of the No-CD? |
Huh?
I do believe BerKut is confused. In this thread people are discussing ways to make the PS2 version of Star Wars Battle Front compatible with PS2 Hard drive loading. Sorry BerKut, we are not talking about the PC version here.
