Anybody knows where to find the No-CD Patch for Richard Burns Rally? Or, does somebody have it and would be so nice and email me?

The crack of Richard Burns doesn't work in my pc. The game crash and show a text dialog "RichardBurnsRally.exe has detected a problema and must be closed" at only double click the exe file.

There are more cases.

My pc configuration is:

k7 1500
628MB de ram
GF4ti 4200 (Last Drivers)
Windows 2000 Prof
Diretx9.c (Last Drivers)
SB Live 5.1

The pc configuration from a friend with the same problem:

k7 1200
756MB de ram
GF4ti 4200
Windows xp
Diretx9.c

The problem is the GF4ti 4200??

Does the game work ok using the original and without the crack?

hey ppl, this crack is not working in my PC. After running the intro.exe file there is an error in the Visual C++ Library and program terminates...


My config
Intel 2450Mhz
480 MB RAM DDR
SiS M650 Graphic Adapter 24 MB
additional Video RAM 32 MB
Direct Show3D 7
DirectX 9

Can u suggest an alternate way? This is the only crack available thru the web, that i could search... but i hope there r more!

Test the original .exe file and the original CD insert and see if that's works. I bet it dosen't, if it is so, contact TECH support at the game developer.

Becuase my crack works just fine, and when the crack works I assume the original works.

Erf, starting to think that it is the same problem than with True crime : Under spec : WONT RUN !

If so, **** this marketing method ! If you want to play our game, BUY NEW HARDWARE !

I prefer to chose whether I want to play the latest FPS on my computer, even if it DOES NOT meet the min requierements ! That is ! (And I play Doom3 very well with that antiqua PC)

Yep, could very well be that SSE thing that plagued True Crime and Suffering. The people who purchased Suffering made a stink on the official site and it eventually got fixed with a patch. So perhaps you people should go and complain on the official site/forums?

Well, just got a backup from RBR, but, I think I am going to visit Activision's website tonight, cause I have a copy I BOUGHT of that game (TC) Had
never thought about that though...I AM NOW GOING TO COMPLAIN ! But still looking for a solution for RBR...(One of my friend DO run it on a Pentium III 1.0ghz...Doeshat processor deal with SSE2???????)
I really can't understand why they turn COMPULSARY sse2 instructions ! Isn't there anyway to bypass it as people bypass Pixel Shaders with 3D Analyse ? ;))

Gonna buy it when i know its working on my computer, if it works.. This is a must have ;)

Just downloaded and installed the official 1.01 patch for Richard Rurns Rally and found out it is NOT PROTECTED!!

From the readme:

- Fixes some DVD incompatibility problems. :)

So before you ask, you don't need a Fixed EXE/NoDVD patch for 1.01, just install it and you'll be fine!

I downloaded the 1.01 patch from wXw.3dgamers.com.

Still illegal operation here :(

I've virtualy got the same PC spec as you: MSI KT3 Ultra, XP 1900+, GF3 Ti200, 512mb, SB Value, DX 9.0c and it runs fine for me!

Ricahrd Burns Rally crack and patch 1.01 not work correctly. Ilegal Operatsion. Can sombody tell what i can do to play Ricahrd Burns.I updated bios but that done nothing

RBR does use SSE extensions.

Prior to the 1.6GHz Palamino core, Athlon processors used the 3DNow! instruction set which contained about 20% of the Intel SSE instructions.

With the introduction of the Athlon 4 (XP) 1.6GHz and above, including the lower-clocked Durons released at the same time, the additional instructions were added to the CPU architecture bringing them up to full SSE support.

This is why a CPU prior to an AthlonXP can't run the game and why some people with Durons less than 1.6GHz can run the game. Pentium owners have had SSE practically forever.

This also explains why people with Thoroughbred cores (like me) can't even play the game if we overclock to 1.6GHz. SSE still ain't there no matter how fast the processor.

Additionally however, there are known problems with SiS motherboards and KT133 chipsets that many people have resolved by applying a BIOS update.

Patch 1.02 has been released, and again it has NO COPY PROTECTION in the exe and should solve the SSE crashes.

@mick14: Patch 1.01 and Patch 1.02 remove the Copy Protection and CD/DVD checks so you DO NOT NEED a NoDVD/CD patch for the game anymore.

You only need a NoDVD/CD for v1.0 which is SecuROM protected!

Just install patch 1.01 or 1.02 and that's it!
