the suffering 1.1 nocd again
 

i hope i wont get banned for this but juz wanted to start this thread again cuz all we ltl amd ppl want som1 to help us im sure som1 will eventually if we keep trying :)

would be really nice if someone would hurry, the same with trackmania 1.25, oh I better get back to sleep, looks like the little kids have better stuff to hack, how lame.

read what the makers themself said about the issue on their homepage! ;D

its the processor (or rather bad programmers) fault, not the graphic cards ;)

then my bad, but normally its the graphs card, i suppose its the same kinda fault like GTA 3 with amd processors :)

dunno about the gta3 issue.. but with the suffering the problem is that the programmers made the program so that it only works with processors that can handle SSE instructions.
Of course they made a patch to fix it very short thereafter, but now i dont have a no-cd patch :)

yea in gta3 for some reason no matter how good the system was, if it was amd based it would affect the speed extremly, wich is kinda "racist" pentium payout *cough* LOL

i really dont get it... why on earth would anyone WANT a pentium??
AMD is alot faster, and its cheaper!
try comparing a 2 GHz pentium with a 2 GHz amd, and let the benchmarks speak for themselves ;)

pentium is fooling their customers with higher Hz, but what are those Hz worth when they are only half as good?

amd should do the same, they should make a processor with 2 GHz speed, and (like pentium does) put "4 GHz inside" on the label

thats because 2gh amd isnt the same as 2gh pentium, they have dif ways of measuring it, therefor a 2.1gh amd is called AMD2800+ xp to tell customers its the equivalent of a pentium 2.8

Before this turns into an AMD vs Intel flamewar, let me just point some things out :

1) compare only cpu's that cost about the same. This is the only real criterium but yes, Intel fails there too :D
2) The P4 Prescott is the hottest chip ever, there's quite a few systems where it runs so hot, it automatically throttles down to a lower speed to lower the temp. This technology was meant as an extra feature to protect people from burning up their cpus, but now people are running slower than they should and they don't even know it :D In older processors running this hot would cause a crash, but the p4's stay running (although a lot slower)
3) The Athlon64 on the other hand is the coolest chip I've seen in quite some time. With the DEFAULT heatsink it runs at about 45 degrees celsius, while the Prescott would hover near 70 (which incidentally is the temp where it starts to throttle down the speed). I've made a silent pc for a customer of mine, where the cpu fan regularly just STOPS completely (by design) when the cpu temp dips under 40 degrees celsius. Trust me, the Athlon64 chips are really good, and they all seem to be able to overclock atleast 400 Megahertz (depends on your motherboard).
4) Did I mention that the Athlon64 3000+ makes mincemeat of the Prescott 3Gigahertz ? :D

rince, even though we all know u r right, if a pentium-user sees your post he WILL argue with you ;D and arguing with a pentium-user is like arguing with a wall - pointless :)

had a p2 before... biggest misstake i ever made, buying a pentium :eek:

ok i have a p4 i have no problems with it im sure that amd are better in a way just like pen are in a way, but doesnt only matter as long as ur comp plays the game, if it runs great if not then dam, i have never had any problems yet with my comp, no over heating or notting so stop buging about pens and amd and what ever lets just be happy we dont have mac comp then u would be f*****. plz give us all a break and give us a 1.1, also is it true that 10 wrks. :o

... but i guess that would be mac users :)

too bad the money-hungry owners of amiga burried it to get rich themselves, a friggin 12 MHz amiga kicked 60MHz pc butt EASY.. lol
try comparing ALL the games made on both amiga and pc... its like comparing a gameboy with an xbox.
ah well, im just bored, and that patch is no-where to be seen...
waited almost 2 months now for that friggin patch... seriously, how long could it take to make a tiny no-cd patch?? :confused:

ok so us guys are waiting for ever for this no cd and we are arguing about pens and amds now lol, well i have one think to say i wish i was an american for once in my life because u guys got doom 3 10 before us :mad: , and it comes in uk at 13th dam. pens rules lol, better market and u dont need a no cd key to play the games.

well we argue to pass the time waiting for that nocd patch
and i dont really have a side in this argumant alltho amd is better its more efficent adn cost less (exept maybe their top 2 chips)
i dont really think any1 is making this patch......
and i so lonely i stoped taking my medication and started playing starcraft online........

the reason amd's are cheaper is because they are only a cheap version off pens and all u cheap gits know it but wont accept it, they heat up your computer way to much which means more noise and over heating on your pc when us pen people dont get that at all. ok so amd run faster but thats why, how i know this because i use to have one, and this mother patch aint hitting this site at all so im not taking that to my grave. :D
