nevermind, the crack doesn't work.
getting 'data differs' errors when trying to connect to a server.
few friends tried it as well, same result.

yup , i get data differ also , i cracked the 1.1 myself and i thought i did something wrong , then i downloaded that crack and they did the same as me so yea , i think the mod.dll isnt edited yet :)

damn.......same error message here too.......what a quick fix though!!

The data differs error is caused because the crack changes the client checksum. I really wish they wouldn't make a crack like this, as you cannot apply it to the dedicated server and hence cannot play on any dedicated servers.

@Stefan F ...well I haven't tested my patch *thoroughly*, but I've found it straight forward to patch, and it seems to work on all servers tested so far, whether PB or no.

The mod.dll is still the same as ever, I just renamed the original one to mod_org.dll, and copied the modified one from the 1.02 patch.

BFVietnam.exe needs patching in just the same way as before ( 2 lots of 0F 84 AC changes, and .EXE to .ORG) - it's just that the code has obviously grown, so the location of the code changes have moved - from 3DAE0 in 1.02 to 40910 in 1.11 (and the other 2 sets of alterations have similarly moved) - but apart from that, it all seems to work fine.

I can't upload this file, as I don't have the capacity to upload 5mb. But there's nothing new to this version of BFV - so I expect someone will upload it real soon now.

yes , i got it to work now also , i used the 1.02 fix #2 way with the 4 kb mod.dll , the "oldstyle" way does the job fine :)

the one i posted has the mod.dll with it.

btw anarchsoul , the one you gave is cracked wrong , you can start the game but cant join servers , thx for the help though .

this one works fine on all servers , i noticed there is an offical release on gamecopyworld site , but its also the vengeance release and that one didnt work for me and others , dont know if its edited yet ... but mine works for sure . *still needs mirrors*

hi stefan when i try to connect to a server the game say "invalid cdkey" what i can do i have your crack but this one don't work fine at me

invalid cd key has with somethign else to do

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield Vietnam\ergc


open regedit and look in your registry if your cd key is in it , if not you can manually put it in.

other possibility is to uninstall BFV and reinstall so you have to re enter the cd key , after that you apply 1.1 patch , and then you overwrite it with the crack , i hope that helped .

in the worst case you can pm me for a BFV key , i got a spare one since my friend bought it but is a die hard CS fan , and all my other friends got it so its pretty useless to me , so if i can help you out on that one ...

I get the same: Data differs from server.

you can find it with the programm regedit in your windows folder , but i think the best thing would be to reinstall it .

dont forget to reinstall the 1.1 patch and then my crack if you used other cracks before .

i tried ur hack in first place right after the patching job, but now i get " CD-KEY in USE " i checked the cd-key in the registry and its the same as before :confused:

i would be very appreciated if u can send me the BFV key u mentioned above :)
