Command and Conquer 2 Red Alert
 

I want to play this game with my freind on LAN. What for tools do i need and where do i find them. plz help me.

i play this game on lan at my own place, since the game brings 2 cds and u can execute the game from any of em, its perfect, dont try to apply anything (nocd patch, mods bla bla) else than the patch or ull get total destruction wen u start a game lol.

But if i go on Multiplayer there are only modem and "nullmodem". What have i to do if i want to play with a friend over Lan?

Try installing the IPX network protocol.

Dont go on Multiplayer, theres another menu called network, click on that.

I don´t have a menu called network, only:

Singleplayer
Internet
Load Game
Multiplayer
Intro
Exit

And on Multiplayer i have only Serial or Modem.
Is there any tool for conecting on Lan?

u sure u aint talking about red alert 1 or its expansion? cos i KNOW for a fact ra2 has a menu called network...

I am talking about RA1 NOT about RA2!

oh yeah lol soz my bad, it jsut looked like ra2, aniways, no u cant play with ra1 on network, but i remember a couple of years ago having a tool to play c&c 1 on lan, it was on the westwood site, sadly, since they went bankroupt , most of the links on their site dont work anymore, or they redirect u to ea.com, u could always have a look in google.

i think that if anyone had it here someone woulve mentioned it by now, ur best chance is go look for it urself.

Why your "Command and Conquer 2 Red Alert" is missguiding is that while Red Alert was the second C&C game to be released it wasn't a sequal to the first C&C, the sequal was C&C 2 Tiberian Sun. Please try to keep your information straight before asking about patches.

yeah i found that recently that c&c1 was tiberium conflict, that has to be my fav story, i enjoyed tib sun so much! gawd its a shame westwood went bankroupt, i doubt will get a sequel to the tiberium story :(

I don't think Westwood went bankrupt, they just got shut down by EA.
