No, I stand corrected. The UK version is Securom 5.030.015. I've just bought it from GAME, so this is a fact. Don't know about the US version though. PHEW! Looks like this will be one of the last 'old style' protection games. I was told this was Starforce 3 by a normally reliable source, so I am wondering if Hitman Contracts may NOT now be Starforce3 protected. It seems to be most European releases that use Starforce 3, amd Eidos is Europe based, so the bets are it will be Starforce.

Depends on the CD burner you have. I'm just mounting Disk 3 (Disks 1 and 2 are not protected) with latest Alcohol. Report back in a minute or so.]

Alcohol 1.4.8.1222 reports software emulation conflict. This is a see-saw between Securom and Daemon tools/Image mounting software. I'll just play with disk 3 until a crack comes out. Great game by the way.

yeah i mounted it with alcohol same as t foster and a conflict message comes up virtual device detected will daemon tools work or is it the same any signs of a crack

I would have thought a Crack for this game would be available, especially as so many games Are Starforce, and thus Securom are easy to crack by comparison. I'd like to keep my originals safe (and if you lived in my house you would understand why), so Tomorrow I shall try mounting Disk3 with Daemon tools or CloneCD, and report back with the results.

Nor with Clone CD. Those Securom developers sure are on top of Virtual drive updates!

Maybe someone has been kind enough to send it over to GCW. Before everyone starts requesting, wait and see if it turns up on the next update.

yes no cd is great , but since the game uses safedisk, just use alchohol 120% and copy the game with safedisk 4.x/5.x protection scheme.
it gives a perfect copy.

at least mine does. but you gotta have a burner that supports the things it needs to do to copy safedisk.
which is pretty much any cd burner within the last few years.

my lite-on 451S dvd/cd r-r/w works perfect.
i need to buy me a game with starforce and do some experimenting. there has to be a way to do a good burn. just got to do the right read/write mode.

It uses Securom latest verison.
