Missing HDD space
 

OK i got a 120gig hitachi HDD and when i format it
I only seem to get 25gigs in my F drive and 5 gigs for E
i used the johnny installer the first time and then modded
my ini and did it via the ultimate noob guide on here
im running the m7 w/ eject fix bios well custom hacked a bit
for color and no animation
what am i doiing wrong?

ps anyone know how i can make a new msdash?
cause i kinda nuked mine woops!

so i tried going back to the d6 bios and still formats
as 25 gigs *shrugs*

oh theres some guy on here i think it was here called
little johnny has this all in one instal iso for evox h\dd installing
and tools but that doesnt matter no one has any ideas???
PLEASE! i didnt pay 100 bucks for 25 gigs :-(

yah, or so straight ftp commands. You can try upgrading to the x2 4981_06 bios (or 4983_06, bit it is encrypted...so no color or boot changes).

will those fit on my 256k matrix?
or better a q cause upon looking they wont
is there a 256k version of those?
and ive "deleted" the f drive folder
using cute ftp and explorer is there some
format command im missing?
and most recently ive been formating
by editing my ini and using evox

theres a 4983? whats that do?
yea the 4981 is a multi bios so matrix can hold it
try the slayers

4981 can be changed to 256k in size with a utility called "xbtool".

4983 are the newest x-exuter bios. They said it had some x3 code in it or something, so they encrypted it. It does not work with xbtool. There isn't much changes in it though. They just inlucded a way to turn off the clock auto-set and other things like that..

Anyways, the new bios comes with a .bat file that can change your bios size to whatever you need, with the press of a number and "enter".

ok i upgraded to the x2_4983.67_256k bios and used the slayer 2.5 and STILL i only have 25gigs in my F drive! :confused:

ps i just tried the .06 bios.................

yea the .06 is what u need..

try the ftp method with an evox boot cd?

ok now call me an idiot but what is this ftp method?
ftp in and delete the f folder?? Ive done that...

i tried somethin.. cuz my mp3 player only had like 1 meg left
and i was stressing why
it turns out the recycle bin needed to be cleared for that
so reprogam the hdd for a computer.. reformat...
make sure recycle bin is cleaned..
then re-reformat it as an xbox
ift that doesnt work then warrranty?

yeah i guess ill pull it and toss it in my pc
see if its ok ive gto a warrenty on the
hdd but i got the box back when they
1st came out when they were 300 ducks
so i doubt that thing has one lol

HEY I GOT IT!!!!
I pulled the HDD to put it in my PC
and i found that i could set the number of
heads via jumper as well as the whole
slave master cable select thing
well it was on 32 so i bumped it back to
16 plugged it it and it came up 48 gigs in F
whn i botted it up in my xbox
i was like well thats better than 25 so i
then formated it with slayer and BAM
got my 120! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP
