How to build a computer for almost no money at all!
|
I love that case mod, might get myself one of them :D
|
i still think the cheapest way to build a pc is to buy the pieces from a computer fair, the one below cost me 500 quid about 4 months ago. (monitor not included)
|
Dont like the cardboard box version.
Thats quite a good price for them componets, all I need is more ram for mine. Just dont want to pay loads for it :) Got to make cable wraps as well, which is easy enough as I got all the stuff now, might do it now actually :) |
yeah i was amazed wen i saw the prize of all this stuff, afther that i spend around 200 more in the tower and modding it. :)
|
got any pics?
|
Ive been considering getting a faster processer, can you recamend a good place to get um? I was thinkin nothin slower than 3.00 GHz
|
I would go to comp shows like luciel said above.
I have an xp 2400+, radeon 9700 All-in-wonder, 120gb 7200 HDD 8mb cache, 512k ddr pc3200, dvd+/-rw burner, and 19" compaq .21 dot pitch monitor for rouphly $900. Changing the gfx card to a radeon 9800pro would cost the same if you want a top of the line gfx card. |

The cheapest way to get yaself a real nice computer would be to borrow one from Ned Flanders and don't give it back whooo whooo!
Flyblown_Homer lol |
ned dose not beleave in computers thay are a tool of the devil
(I know mynes corrupted me) |
Hehehehe didley hehe, I better borrow his welder instead then lol.
I have built 4 PC's from junk stock piles lol - these being fo my kids and friends that just want to play desktop games and surf the net. The bits were all old and considered crap by the big money spenders, but you know the old saying; "One mans crap is another mans gold" - please don't think about poo at this time lmao. The builds cost me nothing but time and some items like ram and mice etc, I rummaged around some friends junk stock piles. Most people I know keep thier old components for no reason but sentimental or the convenience of a spare room to chuck the stuff in lol, this is good for scavaging friends like me lol. |
