Sega Rally 2 and CDDA (yep!!!)
For the coders and hackers among you, I have posted on suprnova.org (as well as dcforums.net) my very own rip of Sega Rally 2 (the US-NTSC version).
They said that one couldn't fit the game and its CDDA audio all on one disc, and I proved them all wrong. I've done it. Everything fits on an 80-minute disc (I posted a selfboot .cdi of the game). Problem is, I have no experience hacking WinCE games to the point where the music will ACTUALLY PLAY DURING THE GAME. :( So right now the game works fine but the audio is little more than dummy data for you to listen to. :D So this is for all of you to try and make this game play the CDDA... and then, at long last, we can all enjoy a complete rip of this game. Or so I hope. - Da1m0n |
nice release :)
|
thanks ;) Do you think you can do anything with this rip? Enable WinCE/CDDA playback and such? That would so rock - just think, you and me doing a release together, giving each other the credit :D

ahh, i can't register an account on dcforums.net. dammit.
|
sorry :( that's the admin's doing. Registrations are periodically closed and reopened... Try again in a few days, probably the beginning of April...
|
ok, i'll try to reg. there in a few days.
question about suprnova.org. i never heard of it. what do i have to do to download files from there? what apps do i need, etc? thx. |
bittorrent
|
more precisely: http://bt.degreez.net/ :)
|
ok,i got it.
can someone tell me a good site to get some .torrent files? thx. |
WTF :P
You asked what you needed to download torrents from suprnova.org, and now that we told you, you go asking what's a good place to get torrents from. :D |
heh, what i meant was, are there any other sites than suprnova?
|
Torrent sites? Several, sure, but none of them are anywhere near as good as suprnova... I think just about everyone will tell you that. :) That said, Google can probably answer your question best ;)

YAY.!! my 100th post..!! :D
anyway, back to topic. i'm a noob to torrent files. how fast can downloads be? are the actual files on a server or on a persons hard drive?? |
Torrents (the small .torrent files) are hosted on servers or distributed via P2P. Each torrent is tracked by a tracker that your BitTorrent client connects to. The actual files that you download with the BT client come from other peers. Multiple ones at a time, that is. In a best-case scenario (and this isn't all that rare), you can download at several hundred KB per second... I got a 360KB/sec. download on a torrent once. Usually I get between 50-150KB/sec... which is very good I think. :)
|
that sounds good.!! i'll try out a few and get some results in here.
|
