Backing Up Unreal Tournament 2004

Hi Guys,
Just a bought a copy from game store, but im wondering if theres a way to backup my original copy. I spent £35 on it and really wanna back it up and play the copy. Is there any way i can do this?
It's a DVD rom by the way.

Thanks guys

As far as i know the game is protected with Securom V5... .
So you can try to make a backup using Alcohol 120%.
But i think it will be easier to use a crack.

will neror work

Do u reckon Nero 6.3 will make a backup? Or do i have to use alcohol?
thanks

It's absolutly not possible to make a working backup of any of the "good" copy protections with Nero (any version).
You can use it to make a backup cd with the crack included, but not for an 1:1 copy.

Additional question:

Is it possible to "rip" the DVD to (multiple?) CD(s)?

I need it in the other way:

Is it possible to burn the 6 CD's to a DVD-ROM, so that I can install the Game from the DVD without errors?

Thanks...

sure... the contents of the cd are already like CD1, CD2... CD6
wich can be burned to 6 discs.

Interesting, just tried to back up my copy of UT2004 DVD (Pre order was a biatch :D ) with Alcohol 120. Strange thing is, game still detected as backup and refused to play. Interesting eh? Any ideas?

kyle 23-03-2004 10:50

same with me.
I used alcohol latest version, did the backup. I installed the game using the backup but you still need the crack to play it.

Going to try Blindwrite on it and see if it works.... when I have time.....;)

i just did a copy dvd on the fly with nero 6.3 and it works with the crack:D

Stampede 24-03-2004 04:22

Well the sense of a working backup is that you can play without a crack ;)

When the next update comes out you'll have to use your original again and/or wait for another crack....

gtapex_trueno 24-03-2004 13:56

 oh brother....... (in regards to the two posts before the last one)

zetto 26-03-2004 13:03

What about clonedvd? will that proggy produce a working copy? I am too concerned about playing UT2k4 with original DVD, I want to keep it out of harms way :)

gtapex_trueno 27-03-2004 14:46

To no avail, Blindwrite 5 does not work. Anyone have any other ideas? Here's what does not work:

Nero
Blindwrite
Alcohol 120

Anyone know how to back this up? My DVD is starting to get scratched up. (Hehe, my room is too cluttered to take care of anything!)

gtapex_trueno 29-03-2004 15:21

*Bump* Did anyone figure out what to do?

zetto 31-03-2004 18:54

DVD backup is harder than CD apparently, as there is not much experience with doing that yet.

moy2k3 01-04-2004 04:32

try using IsoBuster, and burn it! of course with nocd

i have the 6 cd version and i can't copy it.only play disk has securom new and the other are unprotected.the stupid cd2 ininstalation has the same problem as pandora tomorrow.error cyclic error i think

Gman3 01-05-2004 06:25

Bumpity Bump

Any word on how to back up the 6-CD version? I see it has Securom 5.03. I detected it on the UT2004.EXE file on the drive, not on the "Play Disc".

I don't want to emulate it on my drive, just a playable backup CD. I don't like the thought of one scratch trashing one of my favorite games.
