The new Farcry game is an excellent FPS, one of the best i've played in a long time. Highly recommeded

It has first person, nose cam and rates among the best games i've ever played. Thats my vote, you can do so much more with this game than MOH etc. Also BF covers many other mods to make it the all time winner of diverse gaming. lol even played a WW1 mod of it - i think it was called Code Name Eagle, had a zepplin and biplanes.

halo for xbox. As long as you count all those cool game hacks and stuff. The replay value is awsome because of the physics engine, kinda like how gta is only fun after you edit the car stats and whatnot.

I will check out Counter Strike also :)

HOW ON ***** EARTH can u let HALO win? i mean, look at it, they were so lazy porogramming it they put the same rooms over and over and over and over again, no variety whatsoever in the enemies,and no rlly many weapons to choose from, i mean PLEASE, and counter-strike, it just has no real game feeling, i rlly think u guys should actually consider playing from start to end the likes of half life, deus ex or farcry now those games are impressive.

Does that mean consoles are inferior to PCs?

LOL, its in no way a comparison, to compare a PC to a console game. The PC has almost limitless upgradability, while a console is intensionally held back so the vendor can profit from any addon features, (eg. eye cam, RAM packs, mem cards)

Now what I intend to assemble is a doit yaself Carpet PC.

First buy a metal rack box from Tandy's/Radio Shack or **** Smith at about 14" x 16" approx.
Then get a microATX board (K7 Tritan for me) fit to case.
Add a 400w powers supply to the rear of this tiny case (most boxes have vents).
Fit all the bits that you'd normaly fit' lol, and make sure you buy a video card with TV out.
All the front panel stuff can be easily rigged with LED's and use one of the many front box panels available - or a blank one and cut your CD and USB slot's out.
Walah! an Xbox that has so much more.
Then I can have all my fav games up on my big TV in da lounge.

oh i didnt mean it that way, its just that i heard some games had in-play differances between consoles an pc's, like better/harder sections etc.

anyway - it looks like Halo is the better game to get as from the poll votes.:)

To be more seriues, Operation Flashpoint 1985 and all the expantions pack are one of the most advanced and best games ever. Still after 3 years.
Operation Flashpoint 2 are comming or deeeaaar.....*dreaming away*.

Those who thing that's game are to hard and not funny becuase of the realism, then I would say Raven Shield is funny but not as Flashpoint.

Those who don't wont police brutality game (shoot for kill to save lives) and just wanna a pointless peace of crap that you kill people for no reason, than I recomend Painkiller.

If you wanna a nice game that's easy to finnish and you wonder why there are so many bad guys in the expantion, then I recomend Blackhawk Down and the expantion Team Sabre....... FLASHPOINT 2 are gonna rock FLASHPOINT 1 rocks! "go hunt and shoot the Krondike" is the nearest of best. KRONDIKE IS the one and only THE BEST DUDE EVER! I LOVE MY SELF! :eek:

must say myself i'm a heavy pc gamer and this year so far for me has been Farcry i give this game a 9 and half! heavy system requirements>
and also been into thief 3 another good fps but does'nt touch farcry.

No one voted for Unreal so I'm the first! How many of you guys played Unreal?? (not only a few levels) It's old but for suuure a better game than CS, which had never been listed in this vote. CounterStrike is a very nice HalfLife Mod, but a real game with story and a nice atmosphere I don't understand you! When Unreal was released the graphics were the best seen on the market I think (Without a Voodoo Card you were lost!)

The last good FPS was Chaser.

While I did vote for CS, I'd give up my vote if I could add an anti-vote for Halo. That sh*t was a muthaf*cking disgrace and the programmers should be taken outside on a cold windy morning, put against a blood spattered wall, and made to beg for their lives. And then we'd shoot them anyways :D

anyone ever get the golden star in Perfect dark for the AK47? i swear to god it is impossible. I used to play that game religiously, anyone know what im talking about. Great game, elvis was the first NPC character to actually not be a liability, he could actually help you kill the enemies. Maybe I'm the only person to notice, but good npc help in fps is very hard to come by.

UT2004 is one of the best FPS currently available (it is the only one I am currently playing, which does not happen often because of gameplay boredom).

Halo was also good but the crappy slow gameplay made it unplayable on certain levels

oh common, unreal t, ok great graphs and a lot of fun, but i think an fps to deserve best fps, needs a combination of playability, storyline - plot, graphics and variety of levels, monsters, weapons, vehicles etc. I Still think half life or deus ex deserve it more than any other,

it still rocks

and yes halo is a piece of ****.after 2-3 hours playing was bored and uninstalled it

I bought it on day of release, finished it the day after and wasn't overly impressed to be honest

I thought Halo was alright to be honest. Nothing exceptional. It was the the fact that you were constantly running through the same corridors that ruined it. Needed more variety. Other then that, gotta say I kinda enjoyed it. Nothing memorable though, save for a few levels.

Going by the demo of UT2004, I enjoyed the heck out of that game, just mindless shooting. Hopefully when my PC problems get sorted, I will be able to enjoy the full game properly too.

But like I said previously, Chaser is the only really good FPS from the last few years. Since Deus Ex anyway.

wow I had a vision *lol* and went here immediately so I wont forget about it I just wanted to say that I remembered Outcast!!! (was/is playable, too!)

u know, wen i first tried the demo of outcast, it pissed me off soo much soo soo much that i hated it, and until the day of today, everytime i hear outcast, my spine shivvers, gawd how i hated it
