Sacred 1.02 Workaround
 

Found this info at a german forum. It might enable u to use the nocd crack for version 1.0 with the version 1.02 update of the game. I don't know if it works, 'cause I don't own the game, so don't blame me if it doesn't.

This is what u got to do:

-update game to 1.02
-rename updated sacred.exe to base.dll
-use cracked sacred.exe for version 1.0

doesn't work. the game starts but if u want to load or start a game it begins to load but then there popups an error

that was something i tested first... it works... so the game runs... but it is still 1.0.0...

I got the english global.res file working with the new patch and no-cd.

How you may ask ?

Open up chkfiles.txt and find the entry for global.res

Find the md5 sum and replace with d8d92e1cf115240104043c1829710e2a

Replace the global.res from the english demo just like before.
(you need to do this again because the patch overwrites the old one)

You can now play the game in english !!!

You cant play Singleplayer, cant load a game, can set up Multiplayer but no one can join.....LEts wait a few days, in Hope that anyone makes an working NOCD....So long i use my CD´s....;)

renaming an exe to a dll is a ****in stupid thing to do, and it'll never work

now i just need to figure out how to get a multi game going over the internet.

vpn sessions would work but it's a pain for all off us to set it up.

this thing have some sort of direct ip via the console maybe ?

easy to set up if u have xp up win2k

with the old crack, i couldnt start a new game or load a savegame ...

with new one, i`m able to start a new campagne, but still cant load old savegame :( (i get an error message - "probleme with sacred exe" or something like that...)

my current char is about lvl 30, so i dont want to start from the beginning... is there any solution to get the crack working with old savegames ?

another question: what i have to do with the base.dll ? simply copy to my sacred folder ?

jes just copy it in your sacred folder!

I have also another question. I started a multiplayer lan game with campaigne settings but there have been no enemies round the cities u have it to?

And when i pick up a dropped items it is not shown in my inventory :( [only when i start new campaigne and new char]

I just played the Game the very first time with the new crack and i was flabbergasted as the game shot me back to desktop. Savegames are unloadable, so the new crack s useless for me too.

It's senseless, anyway. Hopefully this weekend, a new patch will be released, and we'll be in need af another new crack.

The game itself isnt rocking, but its good :)

mmh when i want to extract the base.dll, out of the 2. patch part 2 from recrack, he acn't find it. Just sacred.exe and intro.exe can be extraceted!
