Can I connect 2 X-Boxes w/o Live?
Was wondering if I can connect 2 x-boxes with out going thru live... 2 cases.
Case 1 - On a local network? Case 2 - Someone hosting a game... can I play against just my buddy while he's at his home and i'm at my home, without going on live. Can either of the above cases be done with a backup? |
well, you can use something like xbconnect of xlink. They basiacally mimik the system link, across the internet.

well case 1 i assume is in the same house? then u dont need one.. just link em via a cat5 directly.. or through a router

Also can I use backup games to do this? |
XBconnect has an option for up to 3 xbox(S) ...
|
what do u mean by vpn?
and where would these xboxes be in relation to one another? same house? same apartment? same country? |
Well you did say that they would work in the same house, so I tried going a step further...
VPN is a Virtual Private Network... I use it at home to log onto my office network, it makes my computer and the server believe that they are on the same network, so I can access my files. Also can any of the above be done using a backup game??? |
you can use all of the above on a backup :D (just dont go on xbox live)
|
Even XBConnect?
