***CM 4.15; Do we need a crack or not?***

However, I have found this to be incorrect. You can start the game, but as soon as your past the splash screen the game's copy right kicks in asking you to insert CD or quit (which means i can't play my music CD's. :( )

Can anyone give me some insight into this, im pretty sure the above quote is wrong; need someone too confirm this.

you know what. I think is CD-check protected like CM4 was after few patches. So make an image of your original CM 03-04 game and mount it alcohol 120% run the game and have a music cd in your CD-driver! :D
Don't dare ask what alcohol and how to mount etc...becuase we have written this 1000 times in file forums, so I let you do some research!

To remove the bug of certain CM games not working in 3rd party CD Roms, SI have removed the securom, and replaced it with a simple CD Check.

What's going on with my patch?I tried to setup but after the bar reached the end and before i get to the window where is the update choice i get an error message which says:"unable to read current installation folder/information version",Error0x00000002 and it also says that the system cannot detect the specific file.And it asks me to install cm03/03 again to make it work!
What is this?I have never had this problem.I have 4.1.4 istalled and i have downloaded the patch from the official si site.And my cm03/04 works properly!Please help me!!:(

Well just install CM03/04 again, install the 4.1.4 patch again and continue on installing the 4.1.5 patch. Your save game won't be lost.

Then i don't know. Have you tried to redownload the patch?

Anything more i don't know... someone more qualified then me should try help you :)

Just to clarify, SI released the 4.15 patch with the CD protection disabled by accident last week, since then they have replaced the patch with a working patch with CD protection.

I actually have a copy of the bugged patch, and would be willing to upload it to gamecopyworld if somone could direct me how.;)

I've sent this patch out to those who PM'ed/mailed/replied , and have now just sent the patch to CGW, thanks Eagle. So those still wanting can wait till it's on the site :).
