Ps 2 Slide card?
 

Anybody know anything about the Ps2 Slide Card mod? I was curious if it was any good?

No its a peace of crap that will make your PS2 blowup and stick plastic in your head.

Yep, it sux, buy a real modchip.

I'm waiting for Evo to turn up and defend the Slidecard !
Nah but seriously try sticking a chunck of plastic into your brain and see how you turn out.
Its pretty much the same thing but with the ps2.
Get a real mod chip. None of that ghetto crap.
Is it me or has there been alot of people asking about Magic Discs/Slide cards lately?
More than there used to be anyway.

dude not bein funny ur a newbie to this site. but sure that has been a fair bit of swap magic crap. there are alot of this slide card crap going around not to good on the ps2 loading mechanism.

just curious, but I figured it was garbage. My friend was planning on modding his ps2 for imports and figured it would be a good idea just to get the slide card. I'll tell him it's trash

EVO my man..lol.. he was making a comparision of how using a slid card is like shoving plastic into a human brain..lol.. well think of it this way.. Homer only stuck a crayon in his brain and u see how messed up he is? lol:p

dont get me worng im not supporting the slide crad in any way i think its a peice of crap but i was just getting a point across to gay-andy some reason he thinks i was going to say something good about it lol and about the 90% of people cant solder thats why they ask about them cause its a simple way so of course there going to ask about it there will always be some one that ask about non solder ways and alot of peps that i know have solder chips started out swap style method then upgarde like i but if i had to use eather a. slide card b. no solder or c.flip top i would have to go with c. cause its the most likey not to do damage to a system which i had a no solder kill 2 ps2's :mad: but they use to be my fav besides solder chips till now im leaning more to flip tops.

Maybe the reason Andy thinks that way because you usually do support the flip top and/or slide card crap.


And just because you had 2 ps2s mess up doesnt mean chips are bad. I mean your the same guy that cant seem to get any dvd burner to work in any system you come across right? That doesnt mean that dvd burners are bad.

it was a bad batch of no solders what killed the 2 ps2s but i still use them im just saying a slide card and no solder will more and likely kill a unit then a flip top and my a06 is burning fine so dose the lite on @ 2x its just lite-ons r cheap and i read alot of the same problems as mine on cdfreaks but theres is with dvd moives no ps2 games warlock must had got lucky and got a good one unlike me :(

lol @ happy-andy on the wrong side of people im not on any bodys wrong side besides ur happy ass lol So im have notta to worry about. And warlock what kinda media r u useing ? i just burned a game on the 411s at 4x useing some cheap ass digtal matrix at 68 cents each and the game plays just fine unlike the ritek so this must mean that riteks dont work well in that burner to bad i didnt know this b4 watseing 25 disk :mad:

@ Evo, mostly Memorex but i have also used TDK, Sony and Verbatim dvd-r.

yep i bet thats why it would not work the 411s must suck on burning riteks cause the dye used on digtal matrix is same as princo dye but yet the riteks work @ 2x so im all confused these burners have werid buring habbits i will try 1 more ritek and if its a bad burn i will say F it and burn it 2x cause i would h8 to use the cheap media and have problems with some games

I am going to order some ritek's tonight, i will let you know how it goes.

well just burned another @4x same problem disk read error so it has to be the burner not working right with riteks im going to get that new firmware on the lite-on site that was released a few days ago and see if that fixs it if not i guess i will use ritek at 2x for buring and buy me a 50 pk of g03s

well 2 people out off like 30 k not to much to worry about unlike other sites i visted lol i have the whole site hateing on me :cool:

well i know for fact its the burner just tryed it on my 1.8 gig pc same problem maybe it wont be to late to get a refund on it and buy me a a06 this time and i tryed another cheap brand and it did the same problem so its like hit and miss with it
