Blacklist and SafeDisc 3 list.
Games that have blacklist for Alchol 120%, Nero or CloneCD (etc):
Empires: Dawn of the Modern World Call of duty May Payne 2 (1.01) It's based on the latest version of Alcohol 120% 1.4.7.1005 This list might be fixed on the next version of Alcohol, might also be fixed on Nero. But CloneCD it wont be fixed. No new version is expected yet! IF you have an old version of Alcohol 120% All SafeDisc 2.90 games are in the blacklist. NERO 6.0.0.23 is here! Update! Games that have SafeDisc 3.00 or SafeDisc 3.10: Empires: Dawn of the Modern World Call of duty FIFA 2004 Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King Updated: 2003-11-09 01.10 (+1 GMT) |
Would like to add that clonecd isn't dead at all. Have a look on the slysoft website & you'll see that they already offer a new version.
|
you can change the settings (manufacterer etc.) for the virtual alcohol drives to whatever you want. this should work with blacklisting the default drive settings.

I can't say it was much reading!
"CloneCD Revision History CloneCD 4.3.1.7 - The "free update period" for Elaborate Bytes customers was a little tight, we are sorry about that! - Extended free updated period for Elaborate Bytes customers - Fixed HelpLauncher.exe to display english texts, if language is not available - Updated Czech and Finnish languages CloneCD 4.3.1.6 - New: CloneCD found a new home at SlySoft - New: Can now emulate SafeDisc 2.9 weak sectors! - New: Improved weak sector emulation! - New: Shiny Look under Windows XP - New: "Hide CDR Media" no longer needs to be disabled while using CloneCD - New: added support for more CD-Writers - New: New Online Keys - New: Added RegCloneCD.exe for new keycodes - Removed "Virtual CloneDrive" from Distribution, will be a separate download (or you can just use Daemon Tools) - Removed ControlElbyCDIO from distribution - Removed ElbyCrypt.dll - Removed ElbyCheck.exe - Removed support of CloneCD 2.x keycodes - Removed "Send E-Mail about a Device" function - Removed Microsoft HTML-Help - Removed input window for old keycodes - Fix: CloneCD Tray no longer interferes with Windows XP Task Bar - Fix: Hanging context help - Important Fix: ElbyCDIO reworked, many bugs fixed - Important Fix: Fixed problems with VIA IDE Busmaster drivers" are there fixes... And if they are blacklisted we should expect a new update. Anyway, Nero updating nearly every month, Alcohol take some times... and CloneCD have no clue what interwall it update there program.... |
I dont believe Nero is blacklisted as it doesn't provide any form of emulation, virtual drives, copy protection circumvention etc.

jeez krondike, make sense
what you mean is that those games are protected with protection such as safedisc or securom, and that safedisc or securom blacklist various drivers / devices / software on your machine, so that if files on the blacklist are discovered the protection will not pass the check, regardless of you having an original cd or not, the games themselves dont have the blacklist, the protections do... if you want a more extensive list of what exactly is blacklisted then i would suggest you debug the protections and see for yourself |

'Virtual drive' may not be the best term, i'm sure there's a distinction between these two types of drives. Anyway...a virtual drive wouldn't exactly be reason enough for blacklist...it's the emulation that's the killer. |
We realy don't know if Nero or CloneCD is blacklisted. Becuase the one's that's tried have uninstall all. And then run the game.
We don't even know if the crack by pass the blacklist. But I do know one thing, Alcohol is one of the blacklist, and they working they ass of to make it fix on the next releas! |
Is there anyway to make a backup of call of duty then?
Hey Is there anyway to make a backup of call of duty. I have tried but with no sucess. Always read errors. What program should I use to do it if possible? I noticed alcohol doesnt have safedisc 3 on the list. Ok thank you all. Cheers

But I made a ".nrg" image of a CD and had Nero mount the image to a new drive letter. I dont recall any emulation of protections. |

Use Safedisc 2 profile. And accept reading errors! |
so blacklisting means you can not install a back up? installed Empires Dawn of the Modern World from back ok but will not run from exe get runtime error??? or is this part of balck listing
get back |
also they have stopped doing clone cd
4317 is last one |

It's a cat and mouse game of protection getting updated with latest blacklists, and programs getting changed slightly to avoid detection. It's pointless for the copy protection companies because they are shooting themselves in the foot by not allowing users to run their legit original games due to a program installed on the same computer which is none of their business. The irony is that a crack will fix the problem as BM mentioned - so in some cases a crack is needed to play an original cd. |
RIGHT understand now!!!
this should be a civel rights job like you say it has nothing to do with them also i bet pc world have somthimg to do with this hahah |

The FIFA 2004 v1.1 update also has SafeDisc 3.
|
I did write FIFA 2004, and EA Games are not a company that bring a .exe file without protection. Other compnies might do that after a while becuase protection might have bugg in it's, but EA Games don't ever do that becuase they are a p**** company!
So yeah I didn't write 1.1 becuase 1.0 was SafeDisc 3.10 and SafeDisc 3 isn't compatable with SafeDisc 2 and the latest version is SafeDisc 3.10 so it did figure it out that the new version should be also 3.10 ;) but much thankz for the report. If anyone wonder why I did wrote 1.01 on Max Payne, is becuase 1.00 is not reported as a blacklist protection, but 1.01 is! |
It worked.....
Ok well the backup worked. I Uninstalled the original to try the backup out and it installed fine. The thing i realized after is that the backup installed with alcohol installed as well. I dont know if the original worked with alcohol because i had it uninstalled at the time. Hope someone can make sense of it , or maybe it can help someone. By the way it is an aussie version.

I've done a small update. this might see as a bump. but it is an information.
Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King has been added. SafeDisc 3.10 NERO have update there software...wat's new? Are comming soon. Becuase the change log hasen't been updated! |
hm
i have burned a copy of my game , but without choosing in alcoholer or alcohol
safedisc or something like that .. now when i am installing the game .. there is a reading error ... i am installing the game in a few hours and then i am posting the error message ( copy of Lord of The Rings the return of the kind ) |
Uru: Ages Beyond Myst is SafeDisc 3 protected.
|
something to add:
nero6 includes a true virtual drive called ImageDrive. If you have Nero6 installed go and have a look at the control panel. from there you are able to en/disable the drive. |
|
that don't look like a SafeDisc 2 or 3 message. Can someone please translate it!
|
necessary file not found or damaged.
|
That isn't a blacklist error, you got an error with your image file. Where did you get the image file? Put in your original Cd and install it from them! CAn't see why you making a image of the original CD and install it from them. There only 1 cd that's protected with SafeDisc 3. That's the only cd that's need to be emulated. And that's the only cd you need to run the game.
|
i ve tried to install it form that disc ...
cause i want to have a backup of my original cd .. so i made a backup ... and tried to install it from the cd |
Dose the same happens when you install it from the original CD:s?
MAybe you done a bad image, redo the image! |
joa :D
from the original the install is running perfectly fine :D but with the backup cd not o_O so the image was ... currupted |
