hi im gonna buy this xbox off of a friend of mine and he told me its got a enigma mod chip in is this any good he said if you dont want that chip in he can install a newer messiah x i think he said which one is better or are they the same all i want it to do is play backups like direct boot

x2 lite is the best

the xbox is already moddded with a enigma he said he would put an messiah x in for a small charge just wondering which is best

What I would do is ask your buddy if he would install an X2 for you. If he says "Yes" buy his XBox and buy an X2. When you get the X2 in the mail have him install that.

You will be much happier with an X2 over an Enigma or Messiah-X chip.

The X2 lite will do every thing you need.

plus, can be updated incase further copy protections are made, so you don't have to patch each game.

if he charges you to put in the x2 bios, ask if the the cromwell bios are on the chip. If it is, say no because it is real easy to flash your chip. All you have to do is stick a disk int the drive with a 1mb bios.bin in it (if it's the older cromwell, then u need ozxflash software).

its no x2 though

The cornwall BIOS is so worthless it won’t even let you play back-ups. It won’t even let you run EvoX or any other app for the XBox.

The newer chips are only getting more user friendly. The x3 is basically more user friendly and designed to work on every xbox, which i think the x2 lite+ might.

The ground point will no longer be needed to be soldered, ther is a new plug tat hooks in back of the dvd-rom or hdd, well, one of em... If you can solder, go for the x2 lite if you have a v1-v1.3 xbox, it is about $15 cheaper.

if there are not bios, you may want to buy the programmer as well.... Try and find a chip with the legal "Cromwell" bios. It has software to flash your chip on it, so no additional items need to be purchased.
