O.R.B. german version
 

Is there a crack out for the german version of O.R.B. ? :confused:

The game is protected by VOB ProtectCD (V5), I think.

Have you tried the english crack from HERE ?

a german iso of the game is still not released.
it uses VOB Protect CD as protection so i guess the US crack didn´t work (only cd-checks.

also the german version is v1.03 or something, not v1.0...

O.R.B. not cracked so far...
 

Yes, you're right.
The German Version makes use of a somewhat special version of ProtectCD 5 (but now Copyright Pinnacle Systems :confused: ). With this version you are no longer asked for a CD-KEY when the application is started the very first time. Seems the CopyProtection Development Team has changed?

The US crack does not work, that also right... so we have to wait a little longer :(

Anyone know if Alcohol120% can deal with ProtectCD5 ? I think I remember something along those lines...

I currently uploading the fixed exe/NoCD Crack for the german version. The crack was made by TEAM GNS. So wait until EMPiRE updates GameCopyWorld.

PS: I will not send the crack via email, because it is RARed 1,95 MByte !!!

By using Alc. 120% it's not possible to make a working copy of the game. The Copyprotection can not be handeled by any program at this time. Start ing the game by mounting the discimage don't work too.

Hi there,
I already have the "crack". The problem is the game crashes at many positions since ProtectCD is still active in a way :-( Only the initial check has be removed... ) I hope there'll be a better crack...
Since I have bought the original game now (the wait for a crack was too long), I can say that the original one does not crash at this positions in the game...
AFAIK ProtectCD has a technology called "Triggers" (or so) that check the CopyProtection at different positions later ... the crackers should play the game for a while before(!) releasing a "crack" next time :mad:

I don't think the crack is bad. I've played the game over a hour and no protection errror / crash was happen.

both are not nuked, so the crack works fine !!!

btw, can´t u just play with your original cds ?

i´ve tested the GENESiS / BACKLASH cracks.
they are working fine, no game crashs etc.
will be on the next GCW update.

GCW has been updated at 30 July and there is now one no-cd crack for the german version. This is exactly the same file as I can get under the link, displayed by 'munsterbuster'. (??)

The size of this file is 6.072 KB - the size of the original german .exe-file is 4.126 KB. Why the crack is 2 MB bigger than the original .exe?? :confused:

Who has created the 6.072 KB crack? Does it work fine or should I get the GENESiS or BACKLASH crack??

At this time I have only tested the tutorial (by using the crack "6.072 KB"). There are no problems occured.

The new [german] NoCD Crack available on GCW is from GENESiS !!!
The file is bigger than the original exe, bacause the original one is packed with UPX/Petite or something like that.

This crack works fine for me. Played over 12 hours without a problem. Very cool game !!!

I am not sure about this. I was able to make a working backup (created with Alc 120%, game runs on any computer) of Devastation (german), which also uses Protect CD5.
Maybe they have changed some protection code......

By using Alc. 120% I've made a working backup of Devastation (german) too!!

But O.R.B. can not backed up in the same way. The protection is not the same as used by Devastation. Maybe a higher version of VOB Protected CD?? :confused: (It seems to be)

sure there is a newer vob version used.
the developers don´t sleep ;)

It looked like you were trying to find a site to download it. If you meant buying the game through mail order/an internet site, it's always good to be clear about that, to prevent silly misunderstandings like this.
