NWN Shadow Patch Problems
 

Hey there guys! I have recently installed the new Shadows of Unrentide, and used a no-cd patch.

However, it continually asks for my original NWN cd key. I put the key in and it doesn't seem to accept it. (stupid machine)

Could anyone please help me out with this?

I scanned the threads here and couldn't find this issue at all.

If you have the original CDkey from the case....contact the Bioware if you have another type of cdkey...contact Devil at 666-6-66-666

Did you use the key from original NWN or the expansion pack?
I assume that the game wants the key from the expansion pack even if it say "original"
(Original= original copy of the expansion, NOT NWN)

Why would they else put new keys with the expansion?

If I don't read it wrong...he couldn't install the game...becuase of the CDkey...:rolleyes:

Just got my copy of NWN SOU, today.

Installed it fine, but can't seem to get the NOCD to work for it. I copy it into the NWN directory, rename the existing to 'xxx.exe.orig", and the slate file to "XXX.exe", but it still asks me for the cd at startup..

Anyone else experiencing this?

I am having the same problem here, it is asking me for the cd... after installing the patch. I can not seem to be able to make a good copy of it either... Using a lite on LG-8320B, HELP... how do I make a good copy or get the patch to work.... email me at [email protected] for advice... Thanks:p

I have used both, and it does not seem to work. I have used the SOU patch and it asks for the CD. The NoCD patch does not work either. I put in the new key and it just acks like there is not crack at all.... What am I doing wrong... Is there a certain way to install the no cd patch? Thanks

Not a problem guys... i had a suspicion that it was something small and it was.

After installing the original, simply get a no-cd patch and RUN THE GAME!

Then, replace the original .exe, install the expansion, and then patch it.

It wont ask for cd keys at all then.

But they key point is you must run the orginal first before installing the expansion (kinda silly really)

Did everything.. still nothing...
 

I did everything I saw in this forum to try and get Shadows to work... still get the annoying message asking for the original cdkey... any other ideas anyone?

Be sure to have a file named nwncdkey.ini in your nwn/sou directory with both keys in it like that:

I am having this same Cd-Key requiered problem , it asks "Please enter your Original CD-Key" and it will not accept any cd key

The situation:
I installed to totally new computer Neverwinter Nights on 3 Cd-s and then I installed NWN:Shadows of Undrentide . In both cases I entered CD-keys

FINALLY I FOUND A SOLUTION !!!!

When game asks "Please enter your Original CD-Key" then you have to enter !!!Shadows of Undrentide cd-key!!!(important) not NWN cd-key and now LAN works !!!!!!!
