To play Ps2 games on your Xbox
Does anyone know how to play ps2 games on there Xbox?
|
Can't, it's impossible. If somebody told you that you can, they are wrong and/or was lying. Do not beleive them.
|
not possiable yet, but it might have a emulator later
|
hmm
yea i dont think its possible but at my cuz's dorm he somehow could play it hes usin a matrix also.... i need find out how.. ill tell yall if/when i find out how |
How can there be a PS2 emu when there isnt even a PS1 emu yet? The PS1 specs would be a lot easier to achieve.
You could gut a PS2 and put it in an Xbox case I guess but that sounds like a waste of a good Xbox. |

actually, if a console were to emulate the ps2, it would probably need at least 4 times wha tthe xbox has. I mean, the PC ps2 emulator that is being worked on only gets about 5fps with a pentium 4, 2ghz+. So it is highly unlikely that the xbox would even be able to emulat at 25% speed. For this and other major hardware differences, I don't think a ps2 emulator would ever be out.
|
there probably will be one on the pc eventually....not any time soon...but mouth of the word has it that metal gear solid 2 on the xbox is just emulating the ps2 version...not a usual port...hence the slow down in some areas....not trying to get anyone excited but you never know
|
I doubt it's emulation, probably a standard port. I don't think it would be easy to emulate the game on the xbox, probably easier to just port it. If the xbox version looks better that the ps2 version, then it is definately not emulated. Filtering may help, but it wouldn't do so much as to make the lighting and sound quality better.

that dude hikaru has been working on an xbox emu for the pc:
" "Xbox on PC" - April Fools ? Posted by Sin-Tex at 22:36 PM One of our fans/ regular french visiters sent us this bit of news, personely i was expecting a psx emu to come out today but this will do insted. Play Xbox Games on a PC Translation Below: QUOTE: The Xbox plays on your PC Published the 01/04/2003 per François One speaks about it for a long time and it is now a reality. He soon will be possible to play Xbox plays on your PC. But whereas a software solution was awaited, it is a chart with the format NCV called MatriX NCV which will deal with the role of emulator. The manufacturer is a Chinese company producing modchips for consoles already. According to information's which we received, there will be two versions of the chart: one bound for the owners of at least GeForce3 Ti (MatriX NCV v3) and the other bound for all the users of GeForce 4 Ti (MatriX NCV v4). It is this last version of which we received the photograph of the prototype. On this subject, the manufacturer ensured us that the final model will be of smaller size, certain components being there only for the needs for the tests. This emulator will be accompanied by a software making it possible to modify certain parameters like the resolution of posting and the management of Xbox Live (integrated into the chart). All the remainder will be managed automatically so much and so that with each time you introduce Xbox plays into reader DVD of your PC, it will launch out automatically. Side price, the GeForce3 version will be sold 80$ net of tax and the version GeForce4 70$ net of tax. The availability is planned for May provided that Microsoft does not put sticks in the wheels of this company. END QUOTE. Thanks to SuperBro for sending us this info Source: http://www.clubic.com/n/n8380.html " |
well, it is possible, and can probably be made sooner than the ps2 due to hardware simularities. But you would have to play from ISO or copied game, as the originals cannot be read.
|
yea lets see how hes planning to handle games then
