Online game rental sites...

Just wondering what other good online game rental places are there? I am currently trying Gamefly.com using the 2 week free trial. Are there others with a free trial that are reliable? thanks

bighap 03-03-2003 10:46

www.govojo.com
www.veegeez.com
www.numbthumb.com
www.redoctane.com
www.gamesforrent.com
www.gameontheway.com

That should be enough free rentals to last ya for a while.:D

I joined Gamefly;s free trial. It was suppose to last till 3/5 which said the billing period begins 3/5. I canceled on 3/5 in the early morning. It also says '0' days left of free trial. Wonder if i will be charged? I went into billing history and shows nothing.

Good question I was wondering the same thing. Red Octane lets you rent Japanese titles but I want to know a place that has PAL too and more of an import selection.

bighap 06-03-2003 16:50

Try a search engine. That's where I found my above list.

Bighap, thanks for the excellent PS2 rental list.

Do you have any insight as to which is the most reputable/quickest for turnover?

Looking at the sites, the best deal is probably gamesforrent (2 games out at $15). But what is there stock like? Is it easy to get the new releases?

NatureX 27-01-2004 07:47

Are any of these available in canada?

bighap 27-01-2004 09:35

Click the links and see where they ship to.

rubber2k1 27-01-2004 09:56

Dont do GAMESFORRENT. they are rips offs and pee'd me off when tried their free trial period. I canceled before the 10 day trial period ended cause the selection of games were always out. so i rented a crap game. I recieved the game the same day i canceled the trial period. Sent the game back the next day. They mentioned in fine print that you have 7 days to return games from the cancel date in order to not to be charged. Well they charged me saying the game never got back by then and would not refund me. I'm only 3 states away! it doesnt take over 7 days to rent a game via first class.

russellian 27-01-2004 18:36

So whats the stock like on the other sites? Govojo looks like a good place.

rubber2k1 28-01-2004 09:13

Govojo and gamefly are the better places

nosycophant 30-01-2004 18:03

to this list add

GetAnyGame.com

not only do they rent games but they'll rent out your games and pay you a commission! (obviously not backups)

=D

russellian 13-02-2004 11:00

Which one is the best: Gamefly or govojo?

mr.ricky 13-02-2004 12:17

Numbthumb

I use Numbthumb...they have a pretty good stock and even though they are in texas the turn around is pretty quick for me in New Jersey. They take well to customers suggestions. I actually told them they should make it easier for users to get instructions and instead of waiting for the item to be shipped out before giving you access to game instructions they let you see them before this way you know how hard or how easy the game controls are before you rent it. Not to mention if you need instructions on a certain game you just send them an email and they will put up the game instructions that same day.

They have awesome customer service. I sent them so many suggestions that they sent me a T-shirt. Which I thought was pretty cool.

Anyone know of a place in Canada that rents games?

thugdevotion 14-02-2004 03:51

I search the internet for some hours and I found only this site. It's a Canadian web site. It's not as good as the US sites but it's ok check it out yourself.

DJFury 28-04-2004 17:03

don't forget www.triggerfingers.com and www.gamefly.com for USA customers

rubber2k1 06-07-2004 22:26

im trying to do the free trial on gamefly.com and it comes up saying i was selected for the BestBuy 30 day freetrial. But when i enter my info it comes back to the same webpage. it has some email address in there already. Can someone try it and see if it works for them?
