DVD Xcopy
Anyone know where I can find a tutorial for DVD Xcopy? I did a search and couldn't find one.
Why do you need a tutorial? It is pretty self explanatory.
Its not compatible with windows98! Does that explain ur problem?
new version
new version out today :-) although i still cant get the damn dvdxcopy movies to play on my apex lol grrrrrrrrrrrrr
Sorry. The program loaded fine, but it was unable to read the DVD. I just installed a movieplayer and played the film for a minute and now it works. I thought I was missing something that wasn't in the help log.
what does the new version of dvdxcopy fix and update? just curious, b/c i have 1.3.1 and it works perfectly and wondering if i should update...thanx
Same here and I just upgraded. It fixes the compatability of some dvd players and resolves some episodic dvd problems. It also allows you to preview the titlesets using dvdxcopy. Just tested backing up Goldmember to a dvd-rw and it works flawlessly. If you do upgrade, uninstall the old version first and when asked if you want to remove the gear drivers say yes. After uninstall is complete you will be prompted to reboot, do so then install 1.4
Anyone know if they will come out with a version that is campatible to other OS other than Wins XP?
1.4 just released a few days ago supports 98 and ME.

;) Is 1.4 working ok for you?
it's not a trail i cant use it
They don't have a demo out yet. You need to have purchased a previous version or 1.4 for it to work.
o-well don't matter i'll keep an i out 4 the demo verson
Hey! I'm using v1.3, but I when I played the movie (Signs w/Mel Gibson), I can't get the special features to work. Everything looked good when it copied and the movie works fine. Just the special features. Any hints? I didn't play with ANY of the settings at all when I did the read and burn.
Special features can sometimes automatically ommited. Insert the original and start up dvdxcopy again. Look at the ommited featues window between your disc 1 and disc 2 windows. Are there any titlesets in there?
Hey bighap i don't have the liscense could you pm me or point me in the right direction. It wont take my old one.
Yeah you get a liscense if you buy the software. ;)

yes i was reading the toutriol and it says movies larger then 4.7 well take 2 dvdrs can a ps2 play movies that r on 2 dvds so when the first half ends u put 2nd dvd in right or dose it take something speical im getting a mod chip if the ps2 needs one to watch copied movies
No mod is necessary to play dvd movie backups.
o relly :)
so how dose it work u just play first movie to the end then xchange to 2nd cd when first 1 is over kinda like a vcr tape with mor then 1 tape
A screen will come up saying to insert disc 2.
Yeah. It looks like there are some omitted features. Can I just add them all to the right side of the program? I played with it a bit, but I didn't want to mess up the order of the files. Its my first one on a DVD -RW so I can just erase and start over.
Yes you can add them to one of the discs or put some on one and some on the other.
