playing other systems on PS2
The DC was really cool in that they had many emulators available. NesterDC is especially nice.
Do you guys think that fully functional emulators for other systems is realistic with the PS2? i'm hoping for SNES, N64, Neo Geo, etc.. |
Yes it is.....
SNES is already available.....Check it out HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! There is also a Sega Genisis/Megadrive...Check it out HERE!!!!!!!! And one for the Sega Master System. Check it out HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! |

From what I have heard, games need to be in smc format and not in zip files either.
|
Please do not ask where to download ROMS
SNES-Station - go to the main site and from the d/l page there are some guides on creating working discs, otherwise you can ask its developer Hiryu himself on the official forum pages (link once again from main site) For info, N64 is not going to happen, NeoGeo is being looked into at the moment |
psx_paul,
How do I email the developer Hiryu? The forum links seem to be down for me. Had some questions on how to get the disc to boot up normally. Have you done this? Could you give me some pointers? If not, just point me to the right place. Thanks! |
I will have a look and see what I have got & post something later on.
|
Thanks for the help and the quick reply!! If you'd like I can PM you and tell you what is happening with these discs. Or I can wait for the post..... :-) No hurry.

CD Walkthrough Guide in pdf format
http://snes-station.emuunlim.com/sne...alkthrough.pdf and here is the link to the forum, looks like he hasn't updated his page since GameBase has changed... http://www.gamebase.ca/forums/index.php?board=5 |
Got it working!!! Thanks a bunch PSX_Paul!!
|
Thanks for all the Infor I finally got the Snes to work, anybody else got it working and know how to Save the games in there and is there a way to use cheats?
|
What do you mean "save it in there" I have a Cd-r that plays perfectly in my ps2 and it has about 200 snes roms on it. I use the tutorial that psx_paul suggested with nero as my burning program. I have a ps2 dvd remote and I had to unplug it from the controller slot to get the disc to boot. The only problem I am having now is that I can't get two player to work and can you save your progress somehow. (I thought that you could)
Oh and for the experts....Is there a way to play original nes roms on a ps2 like the snes? |

Orion731: What can wait till May 15th?
|
Matrix reloaded of course!!!
|
That's what I thought but you had "can wait." You have sinced changed it. I know I can't wait.
|
When you said that I looked at it closer and found my error. Thanks. I wouldn't want people to think that I wanted to wait longer for the sequel. I heard that the PS2 game will be released the same date. You hear this too??
|
I havn't heard a date yet. I'm not really looking forward for the game cause movie games are notorious for blowing. But I can't wait for the movie.
|
i couldn't find a walkthrough on playing nes on ps2
from http://imbnes.gamebase.ca/ anybody wanna help? |
Are you running XP? If you are go here...http://imbnes.gamebase.ca/nero.htm You'll need Nero, or at least that is the only program that I have used but my nes disc works great. If not go here. http://imbnes.gamebase.ca/help.htm If you are playing this on the ps2 the main menu will be blank. Well green with stripes on it for me. This is normal. In the rom bank .exe you'll need to output the rom list and codes and print that out. This will tell you the code you need to enter to play that certain rom. Any more questions just ask.
