Booting of dvd backups
 

cd-r games i have no probs but my dvd backups boot but freeze all the time can any one shine a light on my prob it's enough trouble to boot the backups let alone do it again and again and again please help

what modchip and boot method are you using, also what brand of dvd media are you using?

using AR2 with no mod knife trick V5 burning onto imation media dvd+r puzzle is that some wotk and some work and then freeze wile im playing them

Imation suck. Try Verbatim or TDK.

thought so what about RICOH ,do u know a good web site to buy dvd+r media where i am its hard to find and not cheap at $10 for a sucky imation

for your next PS2 you can pick up a pre-modded v7 with Messiah 2 for a reasonable price :)

Yes, no patching is necessary. Not sure about Ricoh.

do u think it could be somthing other than the media i found that sometimes when it freeze if i take out the memory card it unfreeze [strange as it sounds] these games are all on same media this is the story MOA frontline works a charm stuntdriver works great getaway is a dog assed **** gta vc is a **** to thats the one that works thou if i remove the memory card once it freeze and thps 4 work the first ten time no dramas but now it freeze after about 1 min of playing dunno but i think it may be the laser shine me with sum lightness

Have you tried playing those games that freeze and unfreeze when you remove the memory card without using a memory card at all?

yeah i thought id solved the prob the game froze and took out the memory card and it started to read again so i played the games using the memory card only when i wanted to save the game but it still dont work even if i use no memory card

Seeing that you use the knife trick, you could have screwed somthing up inside your ps2...

dunno the origanls still work ok and some of the backups still work dont have any trouble with cd-r's and i have nealy 20 of those I'm gunna try a couple of things today and i'll let u know how i go cd cleaning kit, laser cleaning, some nice knew media if i can find it and im gunna take my backups to a freinds house and see if any of that works thanks heaps 4 ya help buddy

If originals and cd-r work try new media.

what do u think of sony DVD+R media is it any good or not
